Holidays:
The Feast of Lights: Last day of Danu (shortest of year) and first day of Taisham. In many areas this is considered a time to give charitably.
High Chasaline: Twelfth day of Taisham. A feastday, often with dancing at night. Time to reflect on your good fortune. Considered bad form to complain on htis day, though this is not always followed strictly.
Chansein: Third day of Jumara. A day of wild indulgence in food. (The Borderlands; Arad Doman)
Feast of Abram: Ninth day of Jumara. (Tarabon; Amadicia; Ghealdan; Andor; Altara; Murandy; Illian; Tear; Cairhien)
Lamma Sor: Celebrated the day after the first quarter moon of Saban. Nothing is eaten but bread, water, salt and oil. Day of remembrance for those that have fallen defending against the Blight. (The Borderlands)
The Feast of Fools: Celebrated in Tammaz (Arad Doman; The Borderlands) or Saven (Everywhere else). Exact day varying according to locality. High perform lowly tasks and the low give orders, the high having to obey no matter how foolish it may seem.
