Characters:

	Xander Born to a noble family in Ireland, he was kidnapped as an infant and sold to slavers. The slavers decided to keep him around and train him to be sold to the Palace. Now a slave at the Palace, he waits to be assigned a master.
	Aile (pronounced Ay-Elle) McKie A highborn Scottish Noble, Aile tends to be full of herself. She has been trained in all the "male-pursuits" because, as an only child, her father felt that these were more important skills for her to learn than cooking and sewing so that she could inherit thier lands. She hears about the Palace through court gossip and sends a messenger requesting to purchase a slave. Her father is displeased, but he cannot say much because he has made frequent visits to the Palace.
	Jaesen The current Master of the Palace.
	Tyra A new page. She is only seven and the only female page currently on staff at the Palace.
	Connor Aile's personal guard.
