And regardless of what Jax, Taran or Shippy [sic] might claim (and I've tolerated, 'cause I'm an easy-going sort of warrior-wizard (really!)), it's "Magics," not "Magicks." Check post #236 of the original club. Wait, never mind, can't do that. Well, you can either take my word for it or check Jax and Taran's inspiring archive for that post.
Eric Eick! How quickly you forget your old forgotten Yahoo! profile:
http://profiles.yahoo.com/michael_midnight_magicks"C" and a "K", see? Is this kind of like "Shippy" with two "p"s or one?

Hardly forgotten---it's boldly listed right there on Jax's fine archive site.
And close, but not quite. The King of All Hobbits (that is an insult, right?) actually set that up for me while I was offline between Korea and Georgia (or between Georgia and Japan, or somewhere), while he took the reins up on MMM. (I've since informed him Triple M is not a Centaur, and he's taken the reins over to someone named Chevera [see the Goblin Lake archive --ed.] or somesuch.)
Check the date when that profile joined the Tavern: I was out of cyberspace. Shippy [sic] added the extra "K", because Hobbits may say they like things plainly spoken and lived, put we all know they really like the flair MMM brings to Shires. (As for me, the "K" seemed a bit too much of a grasp for a third level Warrior, so I used "Magics" with no "K", as per my original post seen archived at Taran's. Maybe when I hit 7th level....).
Frankly, it doesn't matter to me what you call him, as long as it isn't "Blue Jay."

So, what about "Michael of the Midnight Magiks"?
Does that mean I can call him Johnson?

"Magiks" is right out. It'd throw my reputation for spelling out the window. (Besides, it makes it look like a hard "G".)
Sure [you can call him Johnson]. Paul Simon likes to call him Al. Sometimes it even gets a response.
