Laguna Loire has an idealistic, sensitive nature and has a love of writing that is brought up again and again through the issues of 'Timber Maniacs' for which he acted as a reporter after his stint in the Galbadian military.

This man has an incredible history which ranges from quivering wreck nursed back to health by his wife Raine to the president of Esthar.  Through all of this he has tried to do what is honourable and right.  But he's a man like any other and he's made some mistakes... most of which are explored through the game as it's main topic.

A sweet emotional man that appears to want to atone for his mistakes.
