This is the first boss in the game. And because of this he is not that difficult to defeat. One thing you should do before entering the fight is to make sure you have enough water, reair-powder, and something to heal you just in case.

Now when you start the fight switch off to Xiao. You don't have to have a powerful weapon at all for her just make sure you have a weapon. With Xiao try to stay on the edge of the cavern and lock on to Dran. Doing this will prevent any pieces of the floor from falling and gives you a better chance to hit him without getting damaged. Lock on to him and hit him.

After you hit him will fly down to the floor and wait there for a little while. This is your chance to do any signifigant damage to him. Switch to Toan now and get up to Dran. Your weapon should be at least +5 since this will help you do more damage. Anyway, when you are up to Dran lock on and take some swings at him. After he gets up switch back to Xiao and repeat this procces. Till he is defeated.

One thing you should watch out for is when he charges at. This should'nt take that much damage to you but it does prolong the fight more then needed.

Preperation:
Bring a couple healing items and a couple repair powders.

Attacks:
If you miss him too many times with Xiao we will spit a fire ball at you and break apart some of the floor, if you fall your hurt...BAD. He also does a charge attack at you if you attack him in the front while he's down. This is easily dodged.

Strategy:
Attack with Xiao until he flies down to the ground. Next, run up to him with Toan and get a couple slashes in then run away. Repeat untile he is dead.

Preperation:
Make absoluteley sure that you have 100% requests completed at Matataki Village and when this happens you get the Battle Ax for Goro!

Also make sure you have at least 3 repair powder's and two or three breads.

First Off, to get to him use the Moon Grass Seed in the soil spot and then use a Sun Dew on it to make it gorw into some stairs.

Attacks:
His attacks are if you're far away from him he spits pine needles at you, and his close range attack where he swings his arms at you.

Strategy:
Use Goro instead of Toan because he has a longer attack range and causes more damage.

Always be close so he doesn't use the spit attack. Get close enough to him to that he swings at you (make sure you dodge) and right after he swing get a swing of you battle ax in him. He will get tired and take a short rest.

Swinging at him when he is down does hurt much so wait until the moment he get up then attack. When he swings hit him again right after he get done. Repeat this strategy until he is dead. The cycle will take 4 or 5 times to kill him.

Preperation:
Have plenty of healing items (like 10 cheeses) and 5 repair powders,5 stand in powders, and 5 revival powders. And 2 Dran's Feathers

Pick one long range person (Xiao or Ruby) and one short range person (Toan or Goro) and make ABSOLUTELEY sure that their fire attribute is at least 20 (this will make your attack hurt more.

Attacks:
Her attack is a heat seeking ice ball (which can be dodge by hiding behind a pillar) and a explosion type attack. Both cause freez on you and then comes a attack that hurts you because you can't move then your unfrozen.

Strategy:
Use a your long range person on her by hiding behind a pillar and letting her attack hit the pillar and come out and get some attacks off then hide back behind the pillar. Keep doing this until it says No Effect.

This is when you switch to your close range character. (this is the hard part) run up to her and hack away until it says no effect. (Use Dran's Feather to doge the ice blasts, they eventually stop) Repeat this until she is dead. The cycle will take 6 or 7 times.

Preperation:
Make sure you get 100% request fulfilled so that you get the Mirage for Unhaga.

Attacks:
Don't really know, it never pulled one off!

Strategy:
Use Unhaga's charged wind attack to blow away the human shape of dark wind and attack with your strongest fighter. It's that easy. Repeat until it is dead.

Preperation:
Make sure you have at least 1 Dran's feather.

Attacks:
Don't really know, it never pulled one off!

Strategy:
Chase after him with your Dran's Feather until he picks up a barrel. When he begins to guzzle it down take a whack at him. It took 3 hits for me to knock him down! EASY

The heroic duel of good vs. evil. This is the last boss in the game (not counting the Demon Shaft). This boss shouldn't be too hard if you have spent the game doing some decent leveling. The first form shouldn't be too hard and the second one is a little tougher.

Preperation:
Here are some things you should have before you fight (or at least the things I carried)
At least 15 breads, maybe a couple of Dran Feather's, 5 Stamina Potions, 5 stand-in powders, 7 Revival Powders, 10 Repair Powders. Now what you want to do is put 9 breads in the first slot on the quick item slot. Then put a revival Powder in the second one. After this you have a choice for the last one. I put a repair powder in it.

Now for the weapons: You should have at least a decent weapon for Toan,Ungaga, and Goro. And a decent weapon for either Xiao,Ruby, or Osmond. I used Toan and Ruby for my character to fight. Now for the base levels you should have at least 125 attack, and 100 MP for Toan,Ungaga or Goro (you can be flexible with this if you want), Then at least 50 for all other element stats. For the distant weapon people have at least over 80 attack and high MP. Then have a high holy element.

Attacks:
The first form: His Hand will come out of the ground and hit you for high damage. He will use a telekenetic attack with his mind and get over fairly low damage. He will also use a laser beam attack that does some good amount of damage so be careful for it.
The second form:He will have two little guard men attack you constantly. He will have a giant laser beam hit you, which will kill you in two attacks or one. He will stomp his feet and send out little shock waves that do decent damage.

Strategy:
First Form: When the battle begins Dark Genie will have his hand come out of the ground and hit you. When he does this quickly hit the triangle button (Make sure the hand is enough threw so you can see the back of his hand). When you see the color of the eye on the hand switch the attribute element to that color. Do this till he goes to the second phase. Through out this he will use a telekenetic attack and a laser beam. At this point switch to your long range person and make sure you have the Holy attribute on. Then have this person drink a Stamina Potion, then get ready to fight him. When he does his laser step out of the way and have yourself tageted on his head. Then take a shot. Do this for a while. He will try to do the mind attack, you can either try to hit him before he fullfills the attack or you can just take the damage which isn't that much. Also sometimes he will just wait idly in which case you can attack him then. After some damage he will switch to his second form.
Second Form: This is the hardest form but stay focused and you will win. First what you want to do is switch to the short range attacker. What I did here is took care of those two guys walking around first, while trying to dodge the laser beam. When they were taken care of I focused on him. When he shoots the beam try to stand in the middle before it. Then roam away and around the area trying to avoid it. When this is done he will open his mouth run up to him quickly with the Dran Feather. Once there drink a Stamina Potion. Now take a swing at his head. Another attack he will get off is stamping his foot, when he does this just keep moving away from the shockwaves. Continue doing this. After a while the two guys will come back alive. Just kill them and repeat this process. You should have him dead soon. And don't get discouraged if you die from his beam.
