History

Originally a minor circuit judge on Cybertron, Garrak developed a reputation for level headedness, in even the most controversial cases. Though it was never his intention, these cases eventually garnered him a great deal of respect in his field. Garrak, for a very long time, was considered one of, if not the best trial judge in the sector. After a fairly long and very distinguished career, he was on the verge of retirement, when several aging acquaintances in the Maximal Council suggested his name as a replacement for of their recently deceased members. Due to his reputation, both publicly and within the Council itself, he was unanimously elected Junior Elder, and offered one of the most prestigious positions in Cybertronian politics. Garrak accepted, feeling unable to pass such an important and meaningful honor once it had been bestowed.

Just as he had in his previous occupation, Garrak quickly became a productive member of the Council, highly sought after for his even handed interpretation of Cybertronian law. Unfortunately, the makeup of the Council was about to change drastically. On almost a yearly basis, Garrak watched as his aging friends and fellow Councilmen, great leaders of Cybertron, succumbed to disease and old age. Eventually it left Garrak alone; one member of the ‘old guard’ languishing amongst a young inexperienced Council, more given to the ravings of its Junior member Tachyous than to the dictates of their own conscience. He watched with an old and outdated feeling of dread as Tachyous climbed the Counciliar ranks at an astonishing pace, becoming the youngest High Elder ever. Ever since that day, Garrak has done his best to moderate the often one sided governing favored by the High Elder. This has made him a very public thorn in Tachyous Prime’s side. Perhaps even a dangerous one.

In the time just prior to the Endport Resistance trial, Garrak, along with the current Junior elder, a kindred spirit (when it came to administration of the law) named Nova, began to suspect the High Elder of having some hidden motivation. With Tachyous’s usually biased stances becoming absurdly so with respect to the Tripredacus Council, the two dedicated themselves to discovering the truth of what was going on. Garrak continues to function as Senior Elder, and search for the chink in Tachyous Prime’s armor, even to this day.

Personality

Garrak is a dedicated, fair minded ‘bot, who has spent a lifetime upholding the ideals of Cybertronian justice. He is quick to listen and makes sure to view a situation from all sides before choosing his. When it comes to matters of an ethical nature, he is unyielding in his personal standards. Garrak is very much the an old guard politician of the type that moves according to his conscience and the greater good of Cybertron, rather than the prevailing winds. He can be as stubborn as any old man, but for all his age, he hasn’t lost a beat. Garrak remains as intelligent, insightful, and determined as any young ‘bot, with a lifetimes of wisdom and experience to draw on in a jam. Though still cunning enough to do most of his political dealing above board, he is however, not above the cloak and dagger work that the Tachyous Prime situation has thrust upon him. He is perhaps the worst and most powerful enemy that a corrupt politician could make, with the faculties to challenge even the High Elder, should it become necessary.

Appearance

Robot Mode: Garrak, like the other Councilmen, possesses only a Robotic Mode. At 11 feet tall, he has all the dignity and proud bearing one would typically expect from an Elder. His frame is of medium build, with burnished silver armor all over. His joints and flashings are trimmed tastefully in deep blue. There is also a little forest green, though in most lights it blends in with the rest of his trim. He has long, aristocratic, yet not unkind facial features, all set around softly glowing white optics. If Garrak were a human he’d be balding. His most prominent feature is a very slightly hooked nasal bridge. The Elder speaks in a mid rich mid ranged voice, and overall looks as though he retains a wiry sort of strength. (Not to pick up heavy objects or the like, but is very healthy, can get around on his own quite well, and is far from infirm.
