I'M SORRY BUT WE ARE IN THE PROCESS OF MOVING NOW.  SO WE HAD TO BREAKDOWN THE RECORD ROOM IN ORDER TO PACK THE COLLECTION.  I HAVE EVERY INTENT TO BE BACK UP AS SOON AS POSSIBLE AFTER THE MOVE.  I HAD HOPED TO GET ONE MORE UPDATE IN BEFORE HAVING TO BREAKDOWN BUT THAT DIDN'T HAPPEN.  SO THIS POST WILL HAVE TO HOLD US UNTIL I'M BACK ON LINE.

To my DUSTY DISC Page.  I'm a record collector who loves the sound of the original oldies.  I've been collecting since I was just a little DooWopper in Junior High.  My collection is a modest 6,000 45s.  Since I grew up in Pittsburgh, I have been influenced by the PGH sound. However, being retired military, I've had the opportunity to enjoy the sounds of many other regions of the country.  I now live in the Jersey shore area and I still attend many DooWop concerts in the Jersey, New York & Philly areas.

(I'm not a purist who will imply that your listening only to originals when in fact he is using a reissue or CD.  Under my rules, see 1 & 2, that's OK.  At least I'll show you.)

WHAT IS A REISSUE?:

Any record not on it's original label or not listed by it's original catalog number.  I'm not concerned with differences between pressings.  (If its on the original label and has the original number, then its not a reissue.)
