Linkin Park's Remix Album
Marilyn Manson and Orgy frontman Jay Gordon are among the artists that have remixed tracks from Linkin Park's Hybrid Theory CD for an upcoming remix album, which is due this summer. “It's basically reinterpreting all of the songs from the Hybrid Theory record,” Linkin Park guitarist Brad Delson told Rolling Stone, "collaborating with a number of different people in the hip-hop, dance and rock worlds, and really creating all new songs for pretty much our hard-core fan base that wants new music." In other news, Linkin Park will play a benefit concert planned by Los Angeles-area teens for Los Angeles's first pediatric hospice, to be held at the House Of Blues on the Sunset Strip on March 4th. The Young Angels Concert, which will benefit the city's TrinityKids Care, is open only to students and their families, with tickets starting at $85. Admission includes a buffet dinner, while all proceeds will go to the hospice (thegauntlet)

Linkin Park will play a benefit show on March 4th at the House of Blues in West Hollywood, CA. The show is the first Young Angels Concert benefiting TrinityKids Care, the first pediatric hospice in greater Los Angeles county ( shoutweb).

The video of the X-ecutioners' "It's Going Down" premiered today.
Here are some info for you about the vid:
The video that premiered is the radio edit version."It's Going Down" was also directed by Mr. Hahn. It featured Linkin Park's Mike Shinoda, Joe Hahn, Phoenix Farrell, and Rob Bourdon and also Static's Wayne Static.
When you watch the video, you can spot Brad twice. You'll see him walking across the floor with Chester and toward the end of the video, you'll see Brad on the left near the camera. You can also spot a kid wearing an LP shirt on the right :)

Chester Bennington features in the Jonathan Davis/Richard Gibbs' track- "System."
The film, QUEEN OF THE DAMNED, taken from famed goth author Ann Rice's "Vampire Chronicles" series, is poised to hit theaters February 22 (LPNewsletter).
The X-ecutioners shot a video for "It's Going Down" featuring Linkin Park's Joe Hahn and Mike Shinoda, and also Static X's Wayne Static that will be aired on TRL >:| on 2-5. The show starts at 3:30 p.m. (ET/PT), 2:30 p.m. (CT) and it ends at 5:00 p.m. (ET/PT), 4:00 p.m. (CT). It will not show re-runs (Ending times/Re-run Info from Nickole). So be sure to set your VCR's on!
Linkin Park came in second place for band of the year of 2001 from the reader's poll of Circus Magazine.

"CNN.com" News story is a HOAX!
There is a fake Cnn.com URL floating around that is reporting that "Popular Teen 'rock' band Linkin Park have been killed in an Auto wreck while travelling to a scheduled concert." This is a HOAX! The band is in Colorodo readying for the first Projekt Revolution show tonight! All the members of the band are doing fine and are very much looking forward to playing for you guys tonight and on all the tour dates for Projekt Revolution 2002. See you at the show!(LP.com)

Linkin Park are now eyeing a March/April release for their upcoming remix album, which will feature remixes of tracks from their latest effort, "Hybrid Theory", done by a variety of artists. The latest artist announced to be taking part on the album is Staind frontman Aaron Lewis, who will contribute vocals to a remix of the track, "Crawling", done by Linkin Park frontman Mike Shinoda. The DVD version of "Frat Party at the Pankake Festival has five hidden sections on it. Today, we are giving you the first one. The rest will be revealed every two weeks here on LPunderground.com.

To find the first Hidden extra, play the feature with the subtitles active. Have your remote handy, or use the keypad on the DVD player: go to the "Beginnings" chapter. When the words "from the beginning" appear, press enter on your remote. You will be taken to a secret video of the band playing in their practice studio back in 1998/9, before they were signed.

1/9/02 - Colin McKay, Stevie Williams, and Jason Ellis dropped by the set of the new X-Ecutioners video this past weekend, being filmed in LA. The DC skaters scored cameo parts in the video for "It's Goin' Down," which partners the turntablist group with the band Linkin Park. The video was directed by Linkin Park's DJ, and the song features vocals by Mike Shinoda, Linkin Park's lead singer. DC is helping the X-Ecutioners promote their new album, and is also hooking them up with some gear.
