A "Get To Know Nick" Page

Nicholas (A.K.A. Nicki, Nick, Boomer, Henry, Hank, and Humphrey) was born on a very hot 19th day of June 1982 surrounded by family and friends. Right from the beginning he won the hearts of everyone involved in his life from his adopted aunts (Missy, Kim, Judy, Diane, Krin, Bubba) to his Godparents, Grandma Barb and Grandpa Ronnie to his Aunt Cheryl and Uncle Scott.

As he grew, many people who entered Nick's life played an important part in who he is now and these are just a few examples:

~~ Shawn, who was his babysitter for many years and taught Nick how to be a "real boy" including how to play poker ~~

~~ Les, who was crazy enough to drive all of us to Florida for a once in a life time vacation ~~

~~ Linda, who traveled and camped with us and supported Nick in his adventures of BMX racing ~~

~~ The Curtis Family, who have done so much that it is impossible to list it all! ~~

~~ His Great Grandmother, who took care of him while his Mom went to school and spoiled him with Root Beer Floats ~~

~~ Cousin Donnie and Mark, who Nick swore he was going to be as tall as them! ~~

~~ Nana and Grandpa Pete and all of the Zuccala Family, who welcomed Nick with open arms and gave him a sense of true family togetherness for the Holidays ~~

There are so many more people who have influenced Nick's life that the list just goes on and on.

Nick has strong friendships with the kids that he has grown up with:

~~ Scott and Stan, who he met in choir; his cousins, Scott and Jessica; Timmy, Steve, and Kyle; Christina, Adam and Leanne; Amanda; Yari, Chris, and Chuck; the Class of 2000 at STRHS; and the gang he worked with at Big Y~~

To name just a few!

Another great influence has been his second family, the Westfield and Southwick Boys and Girls Clubs where he has participated in everything from dance lessons to every sport, computers, being a part of Torch Club, Keystone and volunteering, especially in the kitchen. The staff there: Joe, Bill, Jason, Laura, Tommy, Lenny, and especially Lerryn and the many volunteers all helped keep Nick on the straight and narrow.

Nicholas is fortunate to have a very special lady in his life, his girlfriend, Kimmie. They have been together for almost two years, thanks to Denise who introduced them to each other.

Nick has one brother, Jon, who he not only enjoys beating up on, but helped to take care of, share many life experiences, and are great buds!

Nick is lucky enough to have a very special Dad who loves him with all his heart and even though they don't always see eye-to-eye, no one could ever take his place.

If there is one person who Nick truly has wrapped around his little finger is his Grandmother. Grandma is more than just a Grandma. She is very very special and holds a special place in his heart.

Last but not least is MOM and anyone who knows Nick knows the special bond that they share. Nick and Tammy are more than just Mother and Son, they are friends.

So as you can see it does take a village to raise a child if that village has a great Boys and Girls Club, many friends, and family who loves him and Nick has all that and more. That is why Nick is so special!
