Neutering is the most important aspect of our work. We set up a 3-year free neutering scheme in 1998 with a National Lottery grant. This was very successful, resulting in three thousand Merseyside cats being neutered free of charge.
In 2004 we began to microchip all cats adopted from us. All cats and kittens over the age of fifteen weeks are microchipped. Younger kittens are microchipped in their new homes when they are old enough.
CAN YOU HELP?
We need volunteers to help with the following:
Fostering cats or kittens (normally one at a time, occasionally a pair)
Taming feral kittens (always one at a time – very rewarding)
Trapping ferals (including going to and from the vet)
Rehoming cats
Fundraising
Full training will be given in all cases.
We particularly need people with their own transport and (land line) telephone.
