Dance/rock/funk, this double album is a fusion of styles, and was Prince's first really popular work, establishing him as a crossover artist.

Notes

Andre Cymone (bass), Bobby Z (drums), Dez Dickerson (guitar), Lisa Coleman and Matt Fink (keyboards). Dez Dickerson left and was replaced by Wendy Melvoin. It is on this album that the band is first referred to as "The Revolution".
