CHELSEA (0) : (1) WEST HAM
Chelsea 2-0 win against League Champions Man U in the useless Charity Shield meant nothing in the Premier League. It's the consistancy that really matter and with Chelsea unpredictable play last season that failed them, well it's still too early to hail Gianluca Vialli "Super Star studded" team as the potential champion this season.
Chelsea with their new signing of Hasselbaink(A.Madrid), Mario Stanic(Parma), Eidur Gudjohnsen(Bolton), Panucci(Inter Milan) and Sebastien Kneissel
(Eintracht Frankfurt). It's look like another "Super Star studded" team once again.
Hasselbaink and Stanic looks rather impressive in the Charity Shield against Man U but it's just another exhibition match and Vialli's side is always good playing in such game just like the "Harlem Globetrotters".
But the Blues against West Ham in their opening match in the Premier League. The Hammers is no easy meat with their new signing Suker(Arsenal), Winterburn(Arsenal) and Frederic Kanuote(Lyon).
Do not expect any easy ride for Chelsea especially against the Hammer bearing in mind that the Blues has never beaten West Ham by more than a one goal margin since Dec 1996.
My Pick: Chelsea narrow win
. The "unpredictable" Chelsea side, my advise is best to stay away. Go for Chelsea if you can get any 3/4 handicap to West Ham.
