Chapter 4
The next morning, Sparkle woke up with a huge smile on her face. She was surprised because she has waken up with a frown on her face for the past months. Today, it was different. Sparkle was actually looking forward to the day. She smiled through the whole morning. She actually wore make-up today which made her look more beautiful than she really is. She also decided to dress up. Her brother yelled to her that it was time to go to school so she flew down stairs, smiling, and said,"Lets go!"
Eric was surprised that her sister was smiling and running to the car. Every other day she would be with a frown and/or complaining about not wanting to go to school. Eric just ignored it and drove off to school. As Sparkle walked down the halls she smiled at everyone. Some people were very surprised because Sparkle never put a smile upon her face since the day of the death of her mother. LizBeth was talking to a group of guys, she turned around to what everyone was staring at. She indeed was also surprised. She walked over to Sparkle.
"Hey! Why so happy today Spark?" LizBeth said in a very surprised voice that sort of bothered Sparkle.
"Nothing, I'm just trying to enjoy life. If you dont mind? I'm just trying to tell people that Im not the same Sparkle I used to be. Im sorry if that bothers you and everyone at school." Sparkle said that sort of with an attitude that LizBeth took by surprise. Sparkle never got smart with LizBeth.
"Geez! Sorry. I didnt mean it that way! Im glad you are happy Sparkle. You mean a lot to me and you know that!" A smile went on Sparkles face.
"Thanks, LizBeth. But just for your info.. I am happy for a reason.. but Ill tell you everything after school." Sparkle said assuring LizBeth.
"You better!" LizBeth screamed out to her because she had to rush to class.
Sparkle went to her locker and two seconds later it was slammed.
"Well hey Hot Stuff!" To Sparkle's surprise it was Lyle. She simply ignored him and opened her locker again.
"What up with the new look? I mean dont get me wrong you look incredibly sexy, maybe tonight you and me can you know.. " Lyle said in a flirtious voice.
"I dont think so."
With that she slammed her locker and rushed to class. Lyle was stunned by her new look. It turned him on, and he wanted her. He just needed to figure out some way to get her back.
Meanwhile, Sparkle could do nothing but think about Zac. Why had she gotten so close to him? Why was she slowly falling for him deeply? Butterflies were in her stomach as she thought about her and Zac Kissing. She couldnt help it smile and tears formed in her eyes. She couldnt understand these tears. Maybe these were tears of happiness. All she knew is that now, after all this time, she could finally be happy. The day of her meeting Hanson was coming closer. LizBeth was also thinking about Sparkle. She kept wondering why was Sparkle so happy. Not that it bothered her its just that she was very surprised of the new attitude she has. More important, who was the cause of this happiness upon Sparkle. Finally after school came. LizBeth was very anxious to find out why Sparkle was so happy. Sparkle told LizBeth the whole story. LizBeth was surprised but also in confused. She couldnt believe that out of no-where some-one would give a Sparkle a BSP to a Hanson concert. LizBeth never really like them. Although deep down inside of her she knew very well she had a big crush on Taylor. She also knew that eventhough Sparkle didnt admit it, she indeed also had a thing for the Hansons. She always denied that she was never a fan. This proved she was. To LizBeth it didnt matter to her what made Sparkle happy, just as long as she was.
