Somehow, you've stumbled across Vegetarians Unite, your one-stop spot for vegetarian information. Two random news-like tidbits: I recently found out that there is gelatin in "I Can't Believe It's Not Butter Light". The Original "I Can't Believe It's Not Butter" does NOT contain gelatin. Second tidbit: kosher gelatin is not vegetarian. (I'd been led by a couple sources to believe it was.) Less strict vegetarians probably don't care, but if you're like me, you'll want to know that kosher gelatin does come from bones or skins of animals, but not from the actual flesh, which is why it is considered kosher. |
