Kobe and Shaq after winning Game 6 of the NBA Finals.      He played with a sprained ankle. He slashed through the basket. He carried his team through game 4. He struggled with his shot in game  5 and 6. And in the end, a true champion stands on the stripe and hits two free throws.

in his fourth year in the league, Kobe did what took Michael Jordan six seasons to do, win the NBA Championships. Although the comparison between the two may seem unfair at times, but some of them  are evident. They both play with their hearts on their jerseys and want to win.

Whether this Lakers team turns into a dynasty, Game 6 of the 2000 NBA Finals will be in those history books. Every great championship team has a one-two punch. The Lakers have Kobe and Shaq, who make a great fist. Kobe has  high-flying dunks and amazing crossover highlight films.

He runs the offense, plays the defense, gets the basket, dunks over the leagues tallest centers and, when it counts, hits a free throw or two. What we are witnessing is a new era in the NBA. We all live and breath every move Michael Jordan made. Now it's time to inhale some of Kobe Bryant.
