This Photo just shows a little better how I start building the basic frame using the single I beam type of frame work. As you can see I have welded a heavy plate to the torsion bar and then welded my I beam to that and have added a bar near the bottom of the plate to help connect it all to the torsion bar. That lower bar will also be where my floorboards will attach. All that helps to cross brace the whole thing. Of course I've added a couple gussets to it. I just do whatever I think needs doing to be sure its all very secure with no chance for flex or failure at any point. The 2 bars that extend back under the trans are welded to the back side of the plate that the I beam is welded to and then the cross bar is attached to those with the 2 bars that drop down. In my old style builds, those 2 bars would extend the full distance of my frame and would make up the basic frame. I have started using the single I beam lately and found that to be an easier frame to work with.
