"Disease because it's about how I was with this guy, and he treated me really badly. It reminds me of how I tried to basically erase him from my life and cover up all traces of our time together. It was almost like cooties, only his grossness got to me. So, I tried wash off the "disease" of his being from my soul, and cut him out of my life."
How I started writing: "When my grampy died I felt so alone, so I picked up a notebook and I wrote about how I felt because I was too embarassed to tell anyone else. So, I kept writing, and I fell in love with it. Then, my teacher, Mr. Del Vecchio read my writing (he was one of the firsts) and he totally loved it. He's belived in me, it's almost like what I feel about my grampy's death is in him. He understands and supports me 100 percent. It's like my Grampy is inside of him...being him...connecting with me one last time."
