Green

Green is the warmth that reappears
When winter no longer bites our ears.
Green tells us it's time for spring,
(And we also use green to buy things!)
Though the flowers have such hues
As reds and yellows, whites and blues;
The stem and leaves may go unseen,
But the majority of the plant is green.
Blue will calm the spirits,
And red will scream at us.
Grey is sad, and black is dead,
And white enlightens us.
But the warmth and friendship
That's found in the color green,
Is unsurpassed by any color -
None is quite as keen.
And, thus I present my evidence
With a great deal of confidence,
And now, who out there has the sense
To deny green's magnificence?
back to the highway that never ends
