How I Learned About The Boston Police Department

"Hey you there! Drag queen person! Wait a second, I still need to talk to you." The mysterious stranger screamed.
We stopped in the middle of the alley and Adam motioned for us to stay put while he went to see what the stranger wanted. All Elizabeth and I could hear was the occasional "I think you’re talking about somebody else" or "But my name isn’t Johny, really, it’s not," but Adam was tensing up again. When he started coming towards us, his eyes were worried, and he muttered something about how we should leave quickly.
"Look," the stranger announced, "I knew you couldn’t be that serious from the name you gave me. I mean, Johny Suavo isn’t exactly a good name for a dealer. I should have known." He began to walk towards the main street, following us for a moment. Suddenly, he bolted towards us, threw something into Adam’s hand, and dashed away. We never saw him again. Another man’s voice could be heard from right behind us. He was talking quietly, and I couldn’t make out what he said, nor was I interested enough to turn around to see what was going on. A moment later, he was in front of us. It was a police man.
"What’s that you’re carrying?" The officer smirked.
"Honestly, I don’t know. There was this guy who just ran off down the alley way. He threw it in my hands. This isn’t mine." Adam said giving a worried look. The officer looked down the alley way, but did not see anybody. Adam was the only person around who looked suspicious.
"Do you two know who this is?" The cop asked us.
"Ummmm, he’s a friend of mine. Adam Brown." Elizabeth answered quickly.
"We’ve been looking for your friend. Come on Johny, let’s take a look at what you’ve got there."
The officer took the bag from Adam’s hands and walked us all down to the squad car. We got out ten minutes later. Adam was taken off somewhere, and Elizabeth and I were walked around to different questioning rooms for a couple of hours before they realized that we did not know about the secret life of Adam Brown after all. At least I got to see what was hidden behind the surface.
