The unusual looking B-wing fighter was conceived by Admiral Ackbar to be a new generation of heavy assault fighters. Carrying proton torpedo launchers, blaster cannons, and ion cannons which are mounted to its gyroscopically stabilized cockpit, the B-wing is a formidable assault fighter.
