Silly, Short Snippet... by Mahlia Belonn This snippet was inspired by a quote by PMG in Who Weekly's "Where are they now?" article (5th Feb, 2001). The quote was: "...and despite Soul recently saying he'd like to reprise Starsky and Hutch, Glaser thinks both stars have too many miles on the clock. 'What would we do? Gum each other to death?'" Warning: Total and complete silliness. This was the image that came into my head the minute I read the quote!! I admit I have a warped brain! ************* The two old men shuffled slowly down the hallway. Their joints were stiff and swollen with arthritis and each step was agony. Their faces were well lined and their hair (what was left of it) was grey. Starsky and Hutch were both in their 80's and looked every year of their age! Neither had any teeth left, but Starsky's gummy grin was just as mischievious as always. He was actually in the process of chasing his lover. They had played this game many times over the years, but it never lost its charm. Of course, when he actually caught him, he wouldn't be able to do much. The days of making love all night were over... These days they were lucky if either could even get an erection! Even so, they still loved each other deeply and found plenty of other ways to make love. Starsky finally managed to catch his love in the living room. He weakly pulled him down onto the sofa, and started to slowly fumble with the fastenings of the clothes. The fastenings were all simple velcro so as to make it easier for arthritic fingers. Even so it took a long time to free each other of the restrictive clothing. When they were both naked, Starsky turned himslef very slowly around so that they could both freely explore. Gummy mouths drooled as they explored the well known territory, and gnarled hands stroked freely. They kept this up for quite some time, before they both passed out... *****The coroner's wagon pulled away the scene. Captain Chris Dobey, the grandson of Starsky and Hutch's late Captain Dobey, watched the wagon pull away with great sadness. He knew it was going to happen one day, but he still felt the great loss. Forensics were packing their equipment, as he made his way over to the head of that division.
