"I haven't seen you around here before," the young man states.  "From where did you come?"
"Why do you ask, kind sir?  I am just a traveler," Varisha replies.
"I saw you sitting there, and I told myself that a man like myself could become interested in a beautiful woman like you."
"I'm not that kind of lady, and you offend me by making such a remark."
"It was meant to be a compliment.  Only things of splendid value can catch my attention."
"If this is true, I thank you for your compliment.  You must understand, I am in no mood for any relationships to which I would be required to devote my time and worries.  So please refrain from such comments.  I have to find myself soemthing with which I can have some fun and make money in the process."  Slowly Varisha removes the pick from its hiding place and inconspicuously deposits it into his pocket.
Placing his hand into the pocket, the man inquires, "Where did you find this instrument?"
"That does not matter.  All you need to know is that I wish to learn your music.  I do know some people who would be interested in your job.  That is, if you refuse.  I do not wish to scare you, but it is my way of insuring that I get what I want."
"You interest me, so I believe that I may be able to help you.  But you must be quiet."
"I understand.  Until we meet again."
"And when do you propose we shall meet?"
"I shall find you when I'm ready."  With no further parting words, Varisha walks calmly out the door, leaving the young thief bewildered.
