This is completely true. It happened about... 9
years ago, when i got Dragon Warrior for the NES. I played through
about 2/3 of the game, and I got stuck. Horribly stuck. I couldn't
figure out where to go. Anyways... after several weeks of being
stuck, i started to give up. Then, one night, I had a dream. In my
dream, I was playing dragon warrior. I went east from some city (i
cant remember the name it was 9 years ago), then i went south, and i
found another city. When i tried to enter the city, it was guarded
by a golem. the golem fell asleep when i played music for it. after
i beat it, i went into the town, and bought a silver shield and a
flame sword from the shop there. Then i woke up. I told my brother
about all of this. A few days later, i decided to try dragon
warrior again. Well, long story short, my dream was spot-on.
Everything i did in my dream is really in the game, and i eventually
was able to beat the game.
Now, the wierd part isn't that I
had a dream telling me where to go. That i would consider almost
normal. What scared me was that in my dream, i knew that the golem
fell asleep from music, AND i knew the names of the sword and shield
available in the shop, from my dream.
That's the wierdest
dream I've ever had, too. ^_^

Now THAT is odd. Personally, I had a dream about
a difficult level in Tie Fighter, and that the solution was to
intercept the torpedoes and shoot them down. But then, I already
knew that, only in the dream I did it succesfully before I did in
real life. Another was in Deus Ex, I was lost and didn't know where
to go. In my dream I went into an air duct, and lo and behold, in
the game an air duct was the answer to my problems. Of course, air
ducts are the answer to EVERYTHING in that game. But yours is a
step above. Maybe you read the solution in a game magazine but
forgot about it, then remembered it in a dream? That's not very
likely, but personally I've had games where I've 'known' what to do,
even if the solution is highly illogical, and vaguely recalled "I
think I've read this somewhere". It turns out I did. But then again,
that was never in a dream. --- Why wear black? According to

This topic proves how powerful dreams are. Many
people do not realize how much stuff a dream can do for you. One
technique I use alot is if I have some hard problem that I have been
thinking about lately, I try to think alot about it as I am falling
asleep. In the morning I will usually have an answer.
Some
theories as to why this happens is because when you think of
something right before you go asleep, your subconscience mind
continues to think of the problem even though you are asleep. If you
think on one problem for 8 hours, there is a very good chance you
will receive an answer.
This also helps me alot if i have to
memorize something for school. I will always memorize something
right before I go to bed, and keep saying it in my head as I fall
asleep. Then while im asleep, I know my mind is continuing to have
whatever im trying to memorize, usually a bible memory verse, run
through my mind.
Anyone else ever do this?

Same thing happened to me.
One night I
was going to be before I fought Necron in FFIX, and during the
dream, I did this REALLY nasty attack combo with Zidane and Stiener,
both in Trance. (I did it before the battle), and killed Necron in
one hit. Next morning, I wake up, try it, VICTORY.
FFXI, the
day before I got it, I had this dream I was in Bastok, and ran out.
It was a large desert, and was at night. There were Ding Bats flying
around. I attacked, killed, and leveled up to Level 5 in one
session.
Lo and behold, the next day I got the game and
leveld to Level 5 killing Ding Bats. Problem is... I didnt get the
BSOD in my dream...
It's happened to me alot more. I'll dream
of this stratagy for a boss or something, and then wake up, try it,
and voila, Victory is in my hands. --- RPG Elite (349)

I dreamt about pokemon before they were even out
in America, I was like 6, pokemon came out when I was 11 or 12. I
dreamt about them so much that I had memorized the names of all the
pokemon straight out of my dream.
Of course I don't get any
game dreams now. 1: I'm too good, I don't get stuck 2: Ive got a
life outside of videogames now with TONS of problems that would need
figuring out. 3: #1 was a lie, I just use gamefaqs when i'm stuck 4:
#2 was a lie, I don't have a life but I still have out-of-game
problems 5: #3 was a lie, I use gamefaqs even when i'm not stuck 6:
#4 was a lie, I have a life, I just dont use it --- No. If

I know all that. I meant it was wierd that my
dream told me not only the solution to beating a boss that i had
never heard of, but also what items were sold in the next
town.
Also, i was 8 when this happened. I didn't even know
video game magazines existed. i had never heard of the internet. i'm
99.99% sure i hadn't seen anything about that problem
beforehand...

This happened to me when I was playing the
Legend of Zelda: The Ocarina of Time. I was in the water temple and
I couldn't find a key. I went to sleep and I had a dream about me
playing Zelda and going down into an area I never knew about. There
I found a key. Weird huh? --- "You mean you'll put down your

I was once stuck in a game so I had a nap. I
dreamed I did stuff and I won. I woke up and tried pressing buttons
on the controller thing-a-ma-bob. Lo' and behold, it worked!
