When you love someone, you should not expect that person will give you the same amount of your love or greater than yours because you cannot make him/her. Remember, the more you demand, the less you will get. So the best thing you can do is to accept the person as he/she is.

In addition, If your beloved makes you feel less special, do not presume in an instant that he/she does not love you anymore or he/she may leave you because there are circumstances in our life that we need to prioritize first before anything else. This happen to every person, so try to understand the situation first before you derive to a conclusion that there is something wrong. If and only if, he/she always does something that makes you feel unimportant. Then, think what is the probable cause. If it's you, try to change; if it's him/her, try to observe why he/she is being like that. Sooner or later, you will know the reason.

Futhermore, if he/she treated you badly, do not give more love and presume that you're going to win his/her love because he/she will treat you more badly, and probably he/she will love you less and you will feel helpless in the end.
