Sundriel

Nae Eardë - Sundriel
(Sun-dree-el)
Sundriel's mother and father were not married when she was born. Ildúr, King of Teswer, was her father, but he gave the throne to her great uncle, Éorul. Her father fought and died protecting Éorul during the war of 3521rc before she was even born. Endriel, her mother, and Ildúr planned to marry when he returned home, already having a child to share. Endriel bore and took care of Sundriel until she decided to go on adventures. She had always read about them in tales and books. The very day she was old enough, she set out in search of something exciting. She endured many deadly perils when she finally arrived in Vuir Gun, of which she heard and read most about. The Elves brought her to the house of Anewai, the Queen of the Vuiri. She was not there at the time of Sundriel's arrival, which greatly disappointed her, but in Anewai's place was Sûntyr. Sûntyr was kind enough: letting Sundriel rest there, but she could sense an evil about him that she could not quite place. She slept peacefully in that house, awaiting the Queen's arrival.

Anewai arrived a week after Sundriel, and with her came a human Sundriel had never seen before. Anewai greeted her, introduced her to Willow, the human, and sent Sûntyr home. Sundriel feasted with Anewai, Willow and many other Elves at the largest table she had ever layed eyes apon. Being satisfied with meeting Anewai, she decided she would set out again soon. She packed her horse and was ready when a Company of Elves galloped through the forest on their horses. According to someone next to her, they were a company of Vuir Gun that at returned from an adventure. Then she saw one of the Elves, clad in silver and green mail. He carried a bow, but was not one to speak much. She heard all about the Company and that his name was Endorath. He saw her nad thought she was very beautiful. They met and felt that they were arneons. Sudnriel stayed for many months longer. They fell in love, but Sundriel felt she needed to return to Teswer. Endorath decided to go with her without thought. The 2 traveled, facing the same dangers she faced before (but surpassing them with ease with Endorath along). To Sundriel's horror, her mother had become deathly ill and died while she was gone. She mourned her mother's death, but finally accepted the throne from Éorul. She and Endorath married, making him the first Elven King of Teswer. Sundriel kept her great uncle in her house and took care of him until he died. Sundriel and Endorath remained there (leaving rarely for little adventures) until Sundriel died. Endorath could not live without his bride in Nae Eardë or in Evienah, so he gave up his immortality to be with Sundriel in the afterlife.
