July News Letter
| The Coast and Valley Naturists are at a new Venue in the Gosford area and members are asked to ring the club mobile if they require directions
(notification has also been sent out by mail).
This new centre has much better facilities and will enable the return of massage to the swim nights and the opportunity to provide other benefits. The winter months will not be interrupted by the cooler temperatures as the centre has a hydrotherapy pool heated to 34 degrees and a 25m pool heated to 29 degrees. Your support of the club is imperative for its continued success and to help it grow. The Club has been operating now for four years with no increase in fees, however with the move to a new more modern venue that is more expensive to hire, we regretfully had to raise
fees.

FEW BOUNDARIES FOR CLOTHES-FREE CRICKETERS
26.05.2006
By SAMANTHA TURNBULL
PLENTY of one-liners come to mind when you think of nude cricket.
‘They had their eyes firmly on the middle stump’ and ‘there were plenty of balls to go around’ were two overheard at a clothes-optional cricket match on Tyagarah Beach yesterday.
However, the Anzac Day event was no joke for organisers from nudist group Free Beaches Australia.
Wearing a yellow T-shirt, but nude from the waist down, Queenslander Anita Grigg said the naked game was a serious tribute to Australian soldiers.
"This is the prime way to honour those people," she said.
About 150 people gathered on the beach for the cricket, for one minute’s silence and a sausage sizzle despite bursts of heavy rain throughout the morning.
Woodburn resident Col Peake, 58, said it was a refreshing change from his usual Anzac Day routine of watching the local parade and playing two-up.
"This is my way of showing I’m thinking of the Anzacs," he said.
"The only problem is I don’t have anywhere to pin my father’s medals."
Col said he had been a nudist most of his life and a member of Free Beaches Australia for about 30 years.
"Being a nudist is about freedom and this area lends itself to getting home and taking your clothes off," he said
May 14th Swim Night.
May 14th Swim night was one of the quietest swim nights held by the club in a long time.
It would seem most people would think that it would be a cold night and not come for a night out, however it provided to be a very comfortable night to get the kit off and have a good time.
There were not as many happy faces around to keep the conversation going all night but it turned out to a pleasant night for those who likes a bit of space to swim around in.
As usual one of our youngest members kept us entertained when a large blowup whale was found or was it shark and had a great deal of trouble trying to ride it’s back.
Quotable QuotesOur children give us the opportunity to become the parents we always wished we'd had.

Life's like that
A PATIENT at the dental office where I was a receptionist stopped by my desk to pay her bill. She began rummaging through her purse, as so many patients did when they had a check to write. "Do you need a pen?" I asked, offering her the use of mine.
"Yes, thank you," she replied. She took it, put it in her handbag and proceeded to pay in cash.

WHEN MY WIFE'S LITTLE SISTER, Patty, was very young, she was allowed to have her best friend, a boy named Rory, over to spend the night. As the children grew toward adolescence, their parents knew that someday the sleepovers would have to end.
One night, when Rory and his family were visiting, everyone gathered around the television to watch the Miss America pageant. When Patty asked if Rory could stay over, the parents hesitated, wondering if the time had finally come to discontinue the tradition. At that moment, the pageant host announced a contestant's measurements: 36-22-36.
"Rory," his mom asked, "what are those numbers?"
The boy thought for only a moment before responding, "Ninety-four?"
Rory got to spend the night.

WHEN I GOT OFF the bus late one night at Camp Beauregard, La., and was hurrying to my quarters, I was confronted by a guard. "Halt! Who goes there?" he called out.
I gave my name, rank, serial number and Army unit, and waited patiently for the command to advance and be recognized.
Finally I broke the silence with, "Aren't you supposed to say something else?"
"Yes," the guard replied, "and don't you dare move until I think of it."
