Weather around Ryslen had turned cold and snowy, unusual for the region. Because of the inclement conditions, the many white or partially-white dragons who had come to Ryslen for the flurry spent most of their time indoors. Many of the Lights, including Sekayth, had claimed their old weyrs from hatchling and weyrling days. Their riders, those who were not in their weyrs trying to keep warm, spent their time in the dining hall - chatting, reminiscing, and enjoying hot drinks.

Keylyn was one of the many who stayed to talk and revisit old friends. She soon found many of the Light riders to chat with, although all had dragons older than her Sekayth. This did not bother the out-going Harper, and she was often to be found talking, or playing a gitar.

Keylyn happened to be present when Oroth first became proddy, and she quickly called Sekayth, who arrived momentarily, bugling. He joined the other dragons already assembled outside, barely visable in the driving snow.

"The Flurry has begun!" Tiyanni announced, but Keylyn did not hear. Her mind was outdoors, with her light blue, as he took to the air, searching the snowy skies for his prize.

Sekayth-Keylyn was oblivious to the pairings occuring around him. The light blue had chosen whom he wanted early, and his eyes had not left the lovely Sapphire-born green-white Sevith. She darted always ahead, easily evading the clumsy, larger males who sought her. Sekayth, knowing that she would flee if she saw him, approached unseen. Suddenly, the clouds parted, and he emerged, giving chase with a thrilling bugle. Moments later, back on the ground, Gem announced this dazzling pairing.

Suddenly herself again, Keylyn looked at Tilleniva, the rider of Sekayth's Sevith, and found her glance returned. "Nuh-uh!" both girls objected. Over excited and full of her dragon's passion, she eagerly scanned the crowd. One face stood out: that of a tall, dark-haired young man with quiet gren eyes. He slowly approached, and Keylyn, at the moment not caring who he was, ran to him, and led him off to an empty weyr.

Surprisingly for a frenzy pairing, Keylyn relationship with the elven man, Damari'chel, lasted. Sekayth also approved; indeed, he surprised his rider by asking Damari to stand as a Candidate for the Flurry hatching. And so Keylyn stayed a while longer at Ryslen, waiting to see if her weyrmate would Impress.
