.: Ryslen Weyr :.

It had been almost a Turn since Damari had found his lifemate on Ryslen's sands. Now, Elcayleth was a weyrling, and ready to fly...

The sky seemed to be Elcayleth's element; with Damari on her back, she soared with the grace that her larger clutchmates lacked. She was not the smallest of the greens, about the size of a small blue, but had more stamina than the littlest of the dragons. Altogether, Damari felt his clouded green was perfect.
They were ready as soon as the Weyrlingmaster called them for practice, and were among the first to rise. The exhilarating rush of wind past Elcayleth's wings ruffled Damari's hair, and he mentally congratualated his lifemate for her skill. You fly well, 'Cayle.
No. Elcayleth was decisive.  We fly well, rider mine.

But D'lrik called them down all too soon. "Alright, weyrlings. Let's see if you can between as well as fly.

Do you have the coordinates, Elcayleth? Damari inquired of his pale green bond. It was several days later, and they, along with the other weyrlings, had been asked to bring a new batch of numbweed to several of the holds. Their destination was Lyndol Minehold.
Of course, Elcayleth told him. But Keylyn says to wait. D'lrik says we're old enough to finish training at Abri.
Damari nodded. Ok then. A moment later, Sekayth's blue-to-white wings appeared, and together the blue and green flickered between.

Lyndol was not an especially large Hold, but filled with a bustle of people. Their burden was quickly taken by Mareli, the Headwoman, and to calm his excited lifemate, Damari quickly returned to the fireheights where Elcayleth waited. Something wrong, 'Cayle? I've never seen you so overwraught.
I'm not, rider mine. Just excited. We're going to Abri Weyr! And Dami, I think we're going home for good.

As they flew in over Abri, Damari had to agree. This was definitely home.
