“My name is Legolas, and you are in Rivendell, the city of the elves. I know that you are a human, and that you have come from a far away place. We will nurse you back to health then you will have three options. One: you can live in Rivendell, two: you can try and quest for your home with the aid of an elf, and three: you can go to the place where all the humans that have come here, like you, live. Your name is…” “Bethany,” I said with quivering lips. “How did you get here?” “ I fell down a hill. I was fighting imaginary creatures, and one sucked me to the bottom of the hill. Then I got up and fainted. Now I am here. Is this your house?” The elf just smiled, got up, and left. This was the perfect chance. Rivendell? Bologna. I have got to get out of here. I wrenched the blanket from on top of me and lightly steeped out the back door. What I saw before me was so unexplainable, that I had to stop and admire it. “Wow,” I thought. My train of thought was interrupted by the footsteps of the woman. “It is wonderful,” she offered. “Rivendell is one of the most wonderful places in Middle- Earth. People come from all around to see its beauty.” “Who is Legolas?” I wanted to know. “Oh, he is the one who rescued you. He is the Prince of Rivendell. The best archer in history. No one has ever beaten him at anything. Yet, he is not proud. He is so kind and so gentle. Ever girl dreams of a future with him.” I decided to get back into the bed and rest for a while. As soon as I lay down, I fell into a deep sleep. The funny thing is, I dreamt about Legolas. Can you believe it? A complete stranger. But, a cute complete stranger. Post a comment on this story. |
