I've had some nightmares in the past, and the thought filled my head. So I wrote about it.
You lay down your head,
to go to sleep.
Close your eyes,
and let dreams follow.
It starts out nice,
happy-go-lucky.
One thing goes wrong,
dreams go bad.
You wake up in terror,
you smell the sweat.
You stay awake for minutes,
the thought will not leave.
Some time follows,
your eyes close shut,
The dreams return,
they start out nice.
Will they stay good,
or turn bad?
You never know
