Sapphire's Dust is an abandoned dragon who found Egil after the latter was shipwrecked and slid through a spacial-temporal rift. Egil had lain comatose for some time on the shores of a small island as Sapphire's Dust watched over him. Dust, as the dragon prefers to be called, kept danger at bay and the tides away from the hapless sailor. Egil, for his part, has lost his way, his wife, and his home. He will eventually begin a quest to find each once more.
