My little brother is a filthy slut whore!
24:17 Got home about two hours ago. Have been having fun since. I miss my cute widdle brother. He's such a sweetie, and funny just like me and cute and such. And it's good to be home in general.

Steve Rogness is a filthy slut whore!
9:47 Today's entry was going to be a guest column by Steve Rogness, but he's busy playing Diamond Mine. So nuts to that.

Sitting in econ class... got here 10 minutes late because I gave myself "just ten more minutes" which turned into 20 this morning. Ooops. Didn't feel so bad, though, when I saw how many people were in the room. Of an initial enrollment of 40, we're now down to somewhere between 20 and 25. Today, 11 people showed up, including all latecomers. On the plus side, of the 8 or 9 original girls there are 4 here today, which means the male/female ratio is extremely high. Nice. Anyway, break is ending, back to class.

10:32 Break #2. Huzzah. Sadly, there are still TWO ENTIRE BLOODY HOURS left. Sob.

Met a cute boy tonight. Went to the grill to fetch dinner, since I took a nap through the time Downer was open. Ordered, and then sat to wait, and since at the nearest table there just happened to be sitting a boy all alone, I asked if I could join him. Name is Alex, and he's a ComSci and history major. Before much more was said, food was done and I had to go. Ah well. WSS if anything more comes of it- I doubt it, but WSS.

16:41 Sooooo happy fun yay! Just got off the phone with Mollie. I love it when Mollie talks with me, and it's even better when she's in a good mood and the BEST when she calls ME. Sooo happy. And my sister might be coming to visit the day before we leave for T-Day, so I'll get to show her the school and she can hang out with me and stuff and watch me do math homework, but that's okay. It'll be fun. I'm excited. And I get to have dinner with Mollie tonight, did I say that? Happy funnness! Also, got lots of helpful help from my math teacher and had a fun-yum talk with Professor Jordan Joy. YAY!

Also, my guestbook is working again after four days of nonfunctioningness. Please sign.

26:09 Got up bloody early this morning to judge for Appleton West again. Made $60, though, and they had me judge LD which was great, nice and slow and coherent. Plus I also learned that the debate coach is also the speech coach, so I have a chance of maybe maybe working for them next term, too, which would be extremely nice. But WSS.

Later that evening (say, 9ish) I went off to watch Becca's D&D game. Turned out to be not that really cool at all, and Anime Boy who repulses me was part of it, which makes it even less cool. So I left and came back to Plantz for the poker game. Due to... circumstances, the game didn't actually start until close to 12 and there were only three people- me, the boy setting it up and someone else. We played nickle ante, Dealer's Choice for an hour. I managed to get up most of the time, so it was fun and good. By the time I cashed out at 1 am I had won a whole 60 cents. It was quite thrilling. Sara had left by that time so I didn't get to show off to her, but I had fun regardless.

The Harry Potter Fortune-Teller
17:43 Soo happy right now. I've been told some minorly distressing news, but it's less distressing than what I had thought so oddly enough, it makes me happy. And I had just been to math tea, which is always fun, and in half an hour I get to have dinner with Ann! I'm so looking forward to that, I haven't gotten to talk to her in what feels like a really long time. And then I also have a lot of time to myself tonight, hoping to get some stuff done. Happiness and yay.

17:44 For some reason, I just feel kinda lousy in a low-level way. Nothing has been going particularly poorly, but neither have things turned out ideally, either. Sigh.
Thursday, October 24th
13:19 Firstly, mom is coming tomorrow. I should clean my room and all that. Throw out the beer cans, take down the Playgirl posters, kick that bum that's been living here out, and just generally make it nice looking. And by that I really mean fold my clothes and clean up all the paper that's accumulated all over my floor, but I think we both knew that.

So the last three or four days have been really nasty and stressful. I finished my math homework really late on the day it was due, so I barely got any sleep, and then had to study for my econ midterm on said small amounts of sleep the next day. On Wednesday I got said homework back (not so great at all), and then had to study lots and lots. After which I took the test. It was harrowing. I couldn't even remember how to do simple math functions, and all my answers were coming out wrong, and I didn't have time to finish the test at all. It was AWFUL. Afterward I calculated what my grade in econ could still be- assuming I do as well on this test as I did on the last one, which is assuming a lot and I did badly on the last one- I'll be lucky if I get a 79% in the class. And that's assuming 100% on both the next two exams. Sob. It feels like things are getting wildly out of control, but there's still so much time left in the term. Still, even though it's only the fourth week, I'm screwed over for the entire semester. How much does that suck? Then this morning I had to sit through FOUR HOURS of the same class. What a drag.

Fortuneately, things have been a little bit better. April said she might go to the concert tonight with me, and I don't have to have econ for another four days, and I have ample time to work on both my math homework and my EALC midterm. So that at least is a happy thought. I just hope there's enough of them to counter how miserably miserable things are so far. 23:39 The concert with April was really great. It was a lot of fun, and made me happy. The concert part was really cool, too.

6:58 Ugh... don't know how much sleep I've gotten in the last 24 hours. Apparently enough, because my body wouldn't let me sleep solidly (although that three hour nap just before dinner is partly to blame). At least I wasn't kept up till 4 coughing like I was a few nights ago. Stupid cold. But I'm almost better! Yay healthiness!

Since I couldn't sleep, and since I know Uncle Tom reads this on occasion (as well as others, randomly... all thousand of you (that's right, my sekkrit counter told me that last week sometime I got my 1,000th visit since putting up said counter... and that was only a few months ago. So I'm sure I've gotten at least double that.)), I figured I might as well update.

I love you, Uncle Tom. Even if you haven't signed my guest book yet.

So, update. I will add a Life of Riley link soon, if only so that I have it on my page for my own use, but until then (and after, as well) you should all check it out, too. It's a pretty good comic, unlike some of the dross that's out there. Hmm... I finished the webpage for my sorority, and while it isn't the best thing in the world (in fact, as far as pages go it's pretty lame) at least it's UP now. And to top it off, I earned the Theta of the Week award for finishing it, and got a cute little certificate, very Kindergarten-esque. Speaking of Kindergarten... Germany. Nothing to say about that, but it's a foreign country that I've been to and reminded me of this other country I want to go to. China. That's right, LU is providing a study tour for 20 people to go to Xian, China this winter, almost all expenses paid. I'm applying, as an East Asian Languages and Cultures minor (or major, even though my language in that case will be Japanese). I hope I get to go... it will be wicked cool. And warmer than here, and I can get Christmas presents for everyone from an exotic locale. What fun. But that's if I get to go.

In other news, the election for Hall Council was today. I was running for Treasurer, but as soon as I'm elected (and I was running unopposed, so I should be), at our first meeting the members of council are going to move to suspend the rules and implement a parliamentary system of government. Which means that I get to be Chancellor of the Exchequer, and at meetings people will call me Madam Chancellor. What fun.

Final note, I have a quasi-date soon. Assuming, of course, that I get tickets. And that the other person can indeed go. Which really makes it more of an almost-quasi-date, but so what? It'll be nice, if it all works out. A concert by the Academy of Ancient Music... though he had never even heard of them. Oh well. He just doesn't listen to enough MPR, I guess.

Saturday, October 12th
Judged again today, by happy chance. Another $60... but I had to sit through THE WORST round I've ever been in since that round with Moose Lake back in 10th grade at the Brainerd tournament. Ugh. I wanted to just stop them after the "constructive" speeches. Normally those are 8 minutes each, but the 2nd negative debater's speech was 55 seconds. I know, since I had the timer there in front of me. It was bad. BAAAD. But at least I got a lot of time to read, and I still made $20 for sitting through that round, even if I did have to suffer a little.

After the tournament, I was picked up by Elissa (who was dear enough to drop me off at Bloody Early in the morning (that's just after 8, for those of you that can't tell Helen time)), brought back and did Nothing Much. I should have done math, but that was boring... I called around, but none of my friends were in their rooms. Sigh. So I went off in search of Havoc, and halfway there I met Curt. I asked him for suggestions, and he said that I should go help set up for the Disco Ball. I did (turns out that was where several of my friends were, too), and it was lots of fun. Killed a good three hours there, took a nap and then went to said dance (after a few other things, of course). After that, I came back to my room and killed time until about midnight, when Elissa and a friend of hers showed up. We all changed into bedsheets and walked off, shivering, to the Phi Delta Theta toga party. It was... eh. Like most all frat parties I've been to so far. But I went, and now I can say I've been to a toga party. Afterward, Elissa and friend and I went back to her room and took pictures. Might put those up someday, if I ever get my hands on one.

Saturday, October 5th
Oh happy day!
17:03 Made $60 today (from judging debate), got to ride home with a cute guy, had cake at the German Kaffeestunde after that, found an open washing machine so I could do my laundry right away, and now Colin has said he can get a copy of Windows 98 for me so I can replace my infected one. On top of all that, the Twins beat the A's 11-2, so they're going to Game 5!!! Oh joyousness!
