Chapter 1
" You stupid car, start will ya!" Angel said, ponding the stearing wheel. This was not her day. First she had been late getting up, now her car wouldn't work, and that would make her even more late for her meeting.
"Do you need some help?" A male voice starled her.
"Oh, um. Do you have a phone that i could use?" Angel asked, not looking at the stranger, but only at the cell phone and the fact that the battery was dead.
"Um, just sec. I'll be right back." He said and walked back to his car and got his phone. " Here." He offered the phone to her, and for the first time Angel looked up. This man was a god! His blond hair was blowing slightly in the wind, and his eyes sparkled in the sunlight.
"Thanks so much." SHe blushed, thinking that her day may not have been going so bad after all. Angel stopped staring at this man and then dialed her work number. "Hi, Mike? Well, I have a slight problem. My car broke down. Yes the one the company supplied me with! What other car would i be driving! Gesh, I'm going to be late. Tell the people I will be there as soon as possible. Thanks. Bye." Angel sighed and then hung up. "Thanks so much."
"No, problem. Do you need a lift? I can take you into town if you need to." He said.
"Thanks, but I think I'm going to wait for the truck. Do you mind if i make another call?"
"Not at all." He smiled. As she spoke into the phone, he took in her figure. The light blonde hair was worn up in a clip, and her brown eyes were full of annoyment and her lips were curved into a pout.
"Thank you very much. The tow truck should be here within the half hour. I don't kow what I would have done if you hadn't shown up." Angel thanked him.
"Not a problem. I have been in the same situation a few times." He smiled.
"Okay. By, the way. My name is Angel."
"What a beautiful name. My name is Nick." Nick smiled and then shook Angel's hand.
"Well, thank you very much Nick." Angel said. " I hope to run into you in the near future."
"You too. Well, see you Angel." Nick called then walked over to his car and pulled out. Damn. Now he was going to be late for his meeting. Then his best friend would be pissed at him for being later then expected. "The things I do to see a pretty face." Nick sighed.
