ZMQ NEWS
02/23/03-
Well, Master Quest is here. Everyone get excited. We'll have pictures and stuff here soon, but I had to start a new roll of film so it might be a while. Overall, I think the Bonus disk was over hyped. Sure, its great to have OoT on the GC, and the previews were fun, but overall, I felt let down. The Zelda previews were stuff thats been on the net for months now, and Master Quest is anything but. There's hardly any difference at all, and if there is, it's not the kind of thing you notice. This would be fine and all, but why the hell was it so hyped? End rant here, and tell us what you think; was Master Quest worth the hype or not?
01/25/03-
Information on the game is still scarce at best, but I do have some more generic information. I went down to my local video game store, where I pre-ordered the Wind Waker, and asked the guy about the campaign disk. He went on for a while and what I gor from it was this: If you've got WW pre-ordered, you get the Disk free, and it should arrive Feb. 17-18. I'm excited I don't have to pay any extra mon-ay for it, but you should check with your store to see what they're doing. Every place seems to be different.

In other news, Nintendo threw together a page for MQ, which can be found here.
12/04/02-
Got a picture of the disk art up, and also the news that there's been another delay for Wind Waker so that means another delay for GC OoT/Ura Zelda.
11/28/02-
Actual screens for the campaign disk games have been relesed, and they're in the new screenshots section, linked above.
11/24/02-
Prelim. screens relesed. See one here. The full story can be found at the end of the ZGC Nov. Media Review.
11/22/02-
Nothing huge, not in the line of news anyway. There was one picture of a promo-poster, and a close up on an add for the game.
11/13/02-
Today the first news of Ocarina/Ura Zelda for the GC was spread by the Japanese gaming magazine Famitsu. The magazine relesed an article saying that gamers in Japan who preorder Kaze no Takuto will recieve Ocarina of Time and Ura Zelda on a special campaign disk.

Just as a back story for those who don't know: Ura Zelda was originaly thought to be an Add-On to OoT, and would utilize the capabilites of the N64DD (Nintendo64 DiskDrive- an add-on that would enable the N64 to play disk-based media, ranging anywhere from games to enhancers, to add-on's.). When the N64DD was scrapped, after failing miserably in Japan, Ura Zelda was canceled, and the game that had been said to be considerably developed, never saw the light of day.

This may all change now, because UZ no longer requires the ill-fated N64DD, the GameCube's abilities should be more than enough to suffice for whatever extra power it needed that the 64 didn't have. There's no news as to whether this will ever make its way to the United States, or Europe, but if there's enough demand, then it would be in Nintendo's best interest to suply. -BiGT
