Dear Muslim visitors -- due to possible misunderstandings about the prophecies on this website, please take a moment to read the response to the following e-mail from a fellow-Muslim:

Hello,
Being a Muslim I must agree even with the Bible Prophesy-God is tearing America apart,Praise Allah!America is approching total backruptcy and already is downsizing it's military this will allow Russia to rebuild her armies and launch her attack against America. America will probably destroy much of Russa as well-either way many Scholar Islamic and otherwsie believe World War is less than 5-10 years off from now.

America deserves to be annihilated-Russia will take America out in 10 or 20 minutes tops-the fact of the matter is Russia has 80,000-120,000 nuclear weapons while the U.S. only has 2,000 and maybe much less than that-the U.S. is simply to weak,Russia is hiding here True Power-"Magog" is God's Agent of Destruction, they have defiled Israel and the Muslim I say it is a joy to watch America fall-I dont approve of September 11th but America is bringing these things on herself.I say the quicker the better-let America die in her filth-I wouldnt be surprised if they attacked by foot as well but this is unlikely considering nukes can do the job.

Even with the Bible being corrupted there is evidence pointing to all of this-the Quran gives little mention to Magog but confirms what the Book of Revelation has to say on these things.I dont "hate" America in the sense you may think but you reap what you sow!Simple as that.....

Allah's Blessings!
(A Sunni Muslim)

RESPONSE:

Dear Muslim visitor:

Thank you for your zealous response. Indeed we reap what we sow, and if we sow hatred, we shall also reap murder and destruction and judgment. Jesus/Isa said that we are to love our enemies and show mercy and kindness, leaving vengeance and retribution to God and His instruments of judgment (which include governments of nations).

It is essential to clarify that the purpose of God's warnings on this site is not to promote or justify anti-Americanism or hatred towards America, but to warn individuals who read the prophecies of the need to personally repent and turn to the salvation and protection that is only available under the Lordship of Jesus Christ - "that if you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you shall be saved" (Romans 10:9). None of God's true prophets rejoiced in the judgments which they preached about -- rather, they wept, interceded for God's mercy and called out for repentance. The LORD Himself has declared through the prophet Ezekiel, "Do I have any pleasure in the death of the wicked...rather than that he should turn from his ways and live?...For I have no pleasure in the death of anyone who dies...Therefore, repent and live." (Ezekiel 18:23,32)

America was once a nation submitted to the true and living God, the God of Israel (Jehovah/YHWH) Who has authority over all the earth. The LORD God Almighty raised up and blessed America to serve Him and bless the whole world with the love, grace and mercy of Jesus Christ -- i.e. "For the law was given to Moses, but grace and truth came through Jesus Christ" (John 1:17). However, over the course of her short history, the graciousness of America's Constitution was turned into a license for sin by many (even churches), and America's Christian banner became polluted by the idols of materialism, immorality, atheism and foreign gods. America's leaders (in churches and government) have also shirked from lifting up and openly proclaiming the Name of Jesus Christ and the standard of holiness of the Bible - they no longer called for national-scale repentance. It is because of this that God's judgment will be so great upon America for "playing the harlot" and turning away from her true spiritual husband, God Almighty, through Messiah Jesus Christ.

It was the same with the descendants of Isaac/Israel, whom God warned that He would curse and punish greatly if they did not obey His commandments -- the Jewish people were sent into exile in the first century AD after their leaders rejected Messiah and persecuted His followers. After suffering many persecutions abroad, culminating in Hitler's holocaust, God has shown His continuing commitment to His covenant with them by regathering them to their homeland and assisting them in their battles (consider army officer Gersham Salomon's testimony of supernatural Divine intervention) -- the modern state of Israel's existence (against all odds, gained in defense, while Jews were outnumbered 2 to 1 by Arabs) is a powerful vindication of prophecies in the Hebrew Bible -- namely, that God's eternal covenant is with Isaac/Israel and not Ishmael (though God said He would raise up and bless 12 princes descended from Ishmael, which He has indeed done).

According to Old and New Testament Bible prophecy, Magog (Russia) and all the armies of the earth will eventually gather against Israel (for different reasons, from political to religious to economic). It is then that God will demonstrate His power and true identity -- if you read Ezekiel chapters 38 and 39, and Zechariah 12 in the Hebrew Bible, you will see that God will be sanctified through the decendants of Judah (Jews) in Israel, and no other nation or people. In other words, biblical prophecies state that the nation/state of Israel that exists today will never be defeated, and Jerusalem will forever be under the Jews, being preserved not by military might but by the supernatural power of God. I understand that Islam awaits fulfillment of a counterprophecy (in Muhammad's Book of Traditions) saying directly the opposite -- that Jews will be defeated in Jerusalem and Islam will prevail. This seems to be the vision of the Palestinian Muslims.

Yet God made an eternal covenant with Isaac's descendants through Abraham (Sura II:40; Genesis 17:1-22). He foresaid of the children of Israel, "I will bless those who bless you, and the one who curses you I will curse. And in you all the families of the earth shall be blessed" (Genesis 12:3). Warning: This covenant continues to stand to this day! A closer look at Bible prophecies (e.g. Psalm 83:1-8; Ezekiel 38) show that most of the nations that will seek Israel's destruction (and ultimately be judged and destroyed by God through Messiah) can be identified as Islamic nations today. To hate Jews and Israel is to affront the God who represents them by covenant, regardless of their sins - though Jesus/Isa angrily rebuked them for not recognizing the "time of [their] visitation", He continues to love them and will return to judge on their behalf first.

Surely Muslims, Jews and Christians together accept that the acid test of which book (whether the Bible as we have it today or the Qur'an) is true or false is the historical and future fulfillment of its prophecies. In fact, no religion can disagree that the One true God's authentic communications, His true name, and His true attributes must be vindicated by history ("His Story") for all the world to see. Muslims and Christians can both agree that God historically identified Himself as the "God of Israel" and vindicated Himself through His dealings with Abraham's descendants. It is written that Satan incites murderous hatred towards Jews and true followers of Jesus Christ, and that Messiah will return with the angelic armies of heaven to fight Satan (and his followers) on behalf of Israel on the day when all her enemies come against her (Ezekiel 38/39). It is then that all Israel will weep, repent and believe in Jesus (Yeshua, Isa) as their Messiah (Zechariah 12:9-14; Revelation 1:7).

I understand that Muslims believe the Qur'an is God's book because it is written in first person (and elegantly versed Arabic) as though God Himself is speaking throughout, and consider its writings miraculous/Divine because of its prophet's illiteracy, its protected transmission and hints about modern scientific findings. However, if you take time to prayerfully read and compare the Bible's scientific accuracies and historical chronology with the Qur'an's fragmented excerpts of second-hand biblical accounts, you will find that the Bible we possess today cannot be dismissed as a "corrupted" book solely by the authority of the Qur'an. God is not so weak as to allow His holy and indestructible written Word to be manipulated or suppressed by man, and did not need a "corrected revelation" after Isa out of "erroneously miscalculating" man's (or Jews') craftiness. Even during prophet Jeremiah's time (Jeremiah 8:8), God preserved His Torah/Taurat both supernaturally and through stringent and multiple recopyings - since Moses' writing of Deuteronomy 31:24-26 it has been kept beside the Temple's Ark of the Covenant (the "treasure chest" and "relics" of the sons of Israel mentioned in the Qur'an), which was guarded by God's supernatural Presence.

Just as the Qur'an's authority cannot be fully established apart from the documentations of witnesses in the Hadith, so the direct words of God cannot stand apart from historical human testimony. The Qur'an's accounts of former prophets are presented as though God directly and selectively explained them; the Bible states these accounts as fact in full detail, all the while quoting God's direct words to the prophets - prophecies are also hidden in inspired testimonies/sayings such as the Psalms of David and the Song of Solomon. Since Jesus explains that the role of the Holy Spirit is to both directly speak on God's behalf and bring to remembrance the things He has said (since He is one with the Father), by these criteria the Bible stands as the inspired and infallible/indestructible Word of God -- the Holy Spirit moved the authors of the books of the Bible to both directly speak as well as document/recall and write what God inspired them to write.

According to the Law of Moses, every fact must be confirmed by at least two or three witnesses (Deuteronomy 19:15; 17:2-6; Hebrews 10:28)-- namely, the testimony of men -- and that is exactly what the Bible does (see Hebrews 11). Furthermore, the Law of Moses states that a true prophet's words must fully come to pass (Deutoronomy 18:18-22). The Old and New Testaments are a tested compilation of historical testimonies backing up firsthand prophetic words from the LORD Himself -- the Bible, in sum, is the testimony of Jesus, just as Jesus said to the Pharisees, "You search the Scriptures, because you think that in them you have eternal life; and it is these that bear witness of Me...if you believed Moses, you would believe Me; for he wrote of Me..." (John 5:39,46).

Furthermore, the angel in Revelation told John, "the spirit of prophecy is the testimony of Jesus" (Revelation 19:10). The same Holy Spirit (temporarily resting upon the prophets) which was the prophetic voice of God the Father in the Old Testament, fully dwelt in human flesh in Jesus (just as God's holy spiritual presence was able to fill and dwell in the earthly tabernacle which God instructed Moses to build in Exodus 35-40), "For it was the Father's good pleasure for all the fulness to dwell in Him...For in Him all the fulness of Deity dwells in bodily form" (Colossians 1:19; 2:9). Therefore, God's testimony through Moses in the Old Testament (Torah) regarding the Tabernacle (Exodus 35-40) and the Levitical priesthood's atonement of sin by bloodshed (Leviticus 17:11), are consistent with God's fully indwelling Presence in Jesus and the atoning value of the blood He shed for our sins. It is for this reason that Jesus said, "Believe Me that I am in the Father, and the Father in Me; otherwise believe on account of the works themselves" (John 14:11), and John the Baptist [Yahya] testified about Jesus, "Behold, the Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world!" (John 1:29)

On a final note, I understand that the Qur'an states that it is Jesus/Isa (and no other prophet) who will return to pass judgment -- if you truly believe this, I pray that you would truthfully discern by what standard Isa (whom the Qur'an admits to have "put in the hearts of those who followed him kindness and mercy..." -- Surah LVII:27) will judge. Reason/logic must conclude that Isa/Jesus will judge by the standard that He has proclaimed in the Injil.
