Custom TricksThis is our custom tricks section. All skaters eventually invent tricks, whether it's a fluke, a joke, or an actual cool move. If you have a custom trick you would like to send us, send us your name, the category of your move (vert, street, etc) and a description of your move. Some of you may have very cool tricks, so send them! Also, if you have it videotaped, be sure to include it!
-Freestyle- As you are riding, prepare yourself to indy. Grab the board and kick your feet out. Then, bring your feet back on the board and let go. You can do just about any grab with this trick, though indies are the easiest
-Freestyle- Before attempting the San-Fran-Cisco, you should be good with Caspers and switch Caspers. Start off by doing a Casper (San). Next, kick it around 180 and land it in a switch Casper (Fran). Finally, land it any way you like, even in a 360 flip if you like (Cisco). There you have it.
-Vert- Get some good air. Grab your board as in a varial and bring it up to your head. Spin it 180 with both hands and put it back under your feet on the other side.
-Vert- As your in the air grab you nose as in a nosegrab and with your other hand grab the tail so you are holding both the nose and the tail at the same time.
-Street- This is a crazy move. It's a 1080 shove-it with 3 flips. Steven came up with the name when Matt explained why they call a hospital flip a hospital flip. He said that it would put you in the hospital if you tried. Steven said that if you try this move you'll end up at your funeral. A twisted move from the twisted mind of Steven Morena.
-Street- This move is pretty much an underflip-hardflip. It's easiest when done from the tail stop position. Put your foot under the board, and kick it over. At the same time, flip it so it doesn't land upside down.
-Freestyle- This move is really messed up, and looks better if you jump from step to step really fast. Take your front foot of the board so you are in a tail stall then flip it over your back foot so you are in a switch casper, then just flip it out really fast. Like I said you should jump from step to step because it looks nicer and hence the name.
-Street- These two moves pretty much go together because they are the same type of thing. The Master Smith is a smith grind but all you have to do is make the nose go as low as possible, and with the Chef Salad all you have to do is bring the nose as high as possible. It's pretty dumb they just have funny names.
-Old-School- This is an oldschool move similar to the boneless. If you are goofy, plant your front foot down as in any other plant. Take your left hand and grab the heel side of your deck. Flip it back around your foot as in an impossible and land as you would any other move like this. If you are regular, you just use your right hand to flip it. Note: Adam invented it but Joey is the one who can actually do it and named it.
-Old-School- Go up to a ledge backside. Then take your front foot off and wiht your right hand , if your normal, grab across the board then spin it backside so it is as if your doing a tail slide and then with your back foot you jump on thanks to your momentum you will start to slide. To get off the slide since your front foot is not on the board you boneless out and complete the backside turn and ride away fakie.
-Street- When skating along place one hand on the floor as if trying to street plant/handplant. When on the ground raise your legs up as if to handplant but not as high. With the other hand flip the board like a fingerflip and land back on the board.
-Street- Approach the rail/grindable obstacle and ollie just to the side of it. Flip your board and stand on your front trucks and hit the rail with them. Experts only.
-Vert- Get A LOT of speed on a large half pipe. Make sure you get a lot of air and quickly execute a hardflip and end in an indy before landing in a nose manual. |
