Frontside 180 Ollie

The frontside 180 Ollie is simple trick. Very useful when ollieing off ledges and sidewalks, in/out of grinds, etc. Learn ollies pretty well, maybe a deck high.

Frontside 180 Ollie:

  • Place your feet in the ollie position, the front foot can be placed a little more towards the nose if you want.
  • Begin by twisting your body the opposite way you would turn during the 180 (example, for frontside 180s, turn a little bit backside).
  • Begin to unwind and pop the tail a little at first.
  • Turn and unwind your body completely doing a motion similar to that of an ollie's. It might help to slide your foot all the way to the nose, that way you land more evenly.

[Tips: Winding up really helps, especially when you need to 180 onto a high ledge. Since you land on the ledge earlier than you would the ground, this will help get the full 180 earlier. Popping the tail is important if you want height, and it looks a hell of a lot nicer too. If you just need height, like to clear something, you can try ollieing high and twisting it near the end, like a late pivot in the air.]
