Momiji blushed, reaching out to take Haru's offered hand, though he hesitated for a second, wondering what others would think.
'Why do I care? It's not like we'd be the only same sex couple dancing, after all.'
Smiling, Momiji nodded, "okay, but I'm not a very good dancer. I'll probably step on your toes."
Haru smiled, "I don't care." 'Step on my toes all you want.'
On the other side of the room, Ayame grinned, looking over Shigure's shoulder as they danced. "That's cute," he said.
"What is, Aya?" Shigure asked.
"Haru and Momiji."
Shigure looked behind him, seeing Haru and Momiji dancing. He giggled, "aw, it is cute. Since when has Haru liked Momiji?"
Ayame shrugged, "who knows, but it's so obvious, isn't it?"
Shigure nodded, "yeah, his face is bright red and he keeps on glancing at Momiji only to quickly glance away."
"Like us, when we first started to develop feelings for each other."
"Mm, yeah." Shigure sighed, "I can remember it like it was yesterday." he smiled.
"Me too, Gure." Aya nuzzled Shigure's neck, causing some nearby girls to giggle.
"Kyo, I'm sensing something very, very interesting." Hana said, as they danced.
Rolling his eyes, Kyo looked the dark haired girl in the eyes, "yeah, and what is that?"
"Your attention keeps being directed to Yuki." Hana said.
Kyo looked at Hana as if she was crazy. "You're nuts! Why would I be looking at that ra... guy?!" Kyo mentally smacked himself.
"I'm not sure, but I know you are." Hana said, not seeing the point in lying.
"I wasn't..." Kyo said, sounding almost like he was trying to defend himself from being accused of doing something really wrong.
"All right, if you say so...but," Kana leaned closer to Kyo, making the cat tense up, "I think you should know something; Yuki's been stealing glances at you, too."
"Should I be insulted?" Uo smirked.
Yuki looked at his dance partner, not understanding what she meant. "What?"
"Well, while you've been dancing with me, your attention's been elsewhere. Like on orange top."
"What?! I don't know what you're talking about!" Yuki blushed.
Uo sighed, "Yuki. Honestly, tell me something. Are you gay?"
"What... I mean... umm, okay, maybe I am, but that doesn't mean I was looking at my cousin. Why would I be?" Yuki asked, at that moment looking over at Kyo. Yuki's eyes went wide, flushing when he saw Kyo looking at him.
'Why is he looking at me!? Why am I looking at him!?
"You're so clueless, Yuki." Uo shook her head. She leaned close to Yuki's ear, "I think you like Kyo."
"Are you crazy!?" Yuki sputtered. "I don't like him."
"Oh, really? Then why did your face go maroon?" Uo grinned. "You know I saw this coming. You two fight two much; like a married couple."
"Uo, that's not... Even if I did, and I'm not saying I do, he wouldn't like me..."
'The cat hates the rat... Kyo hates me...'
Yuki looked down, feeling forlorn.
"Hmm, then why does he keep looking over at you? It's funny, really. He looks at you and when you look at him, he quickly looks away."
"What.."
"I'm serious. Look at him now and I bet you ten yen that he's looking at you and he quickly looks away."
Yuki rolled his eyes, "okay, but I hope you have ten yen." Yuki said, as he glanced over at Kyo.
Kyo was looking at him! And he did look away quickly, but that didn't necessarily mean that Kyo liked him.
Uo chuckled, "told you so."
"You know," Hatori smiled, "Ritsu you're actually a decent dancer."
Blushing, Ritsu gave Hatori a shaky smiled, "thank you. Nobody has ever told me that before."
"Have you danced with anyone before?"
"Mm, n-no, not really."
"Well there you go, that's why nobody has told you, and you really are a good dancer."
"Thank you!" Ritsu beamed.
'And cute too, more so when he's not constantly apologizing about something.'
'She's right, he is looking at me!' Kyo flushed, looking at Kana.
"How long has he been looking at me?"
"Ooh, why do you want to know? I thought you weren't interested in Yuki."
Kyo blushed, "just tell me!"
"Well, if you must know, he's been looking at you ever since the party first started... and when I asked you to dance, he looked jealous."
"Jealous.. Yuki..." Kyo glanced again at Yuki, wondering if the teen really did like him, and if so, did Kyo really like him?
"Bye," Shigure yawned, saying bye to the last of the party goers.
"So, Kisa, did you have fun?" Yuki asked the tiger.
Kisa grinned, "yeah, I had lots of fun. Thanks for having party here, Shigure."
"No problem." Shigure grinned.
"Come on Kisa, Haru and I will walk you home." Momiji said, with a yawn.
Haru grinned, "we might end up having to carry him. He's pooped."
Momiji blushed, "oh hush," he said, yawning again.
After the three had left, Shigure turned to Yuki and Kyo, "Tohru went to stay with her friends, and I'm going to stay with Ayame, so you two behave while were gone." The dog grinned, like he knew a secret.
Yuki and Kyo rolled their eyes. "Pervert." Kyo muttered.
