News has just come in that 'Touching Evil' has been cancelled. Until I get my heart back into television, this site and "The View From Behind The Desk" will be on hiatus. You want to know who responsible for it? Look no further than NBC/Universal and USA. They have destroyed my hope in the future of televison. I really didn't think it would come to this. I thought they would have some sense. I was wrong. If you want to see this site to come back, I beg you to join in the fight against stupidity in television. I'm tired of ratings dictating what is left on and what is cut. The fight has begun. Think of it this way- if "Law&Order" had started now instead of back in the 80s it would have been cut right away. One of your favorite shows was saved- help others save their favorite show. These people, at USA and their affliates, are idiots. I wash my hands of all things USA related. Done, buh-bye, see ya later. Everyone worked so hard to save it. This doesn't seem fair. But, it is important to keep in mind that several shows that went on to do well had very rocky starts. M*A*S*H, Star Trek, Law&Order, and The X-Files are all fine examples. Law&Order is most interesting because it was originally piloted on CBS, never picked up for a series and something like two years later showed up on NBC.

The battle may be lost on USA but the war isn't over. There is a campaign working to get Touching Evil picked up by another network. I would be honored if you joined our campaign. Please, SIGN THE SAVE TOUCHING EVIL PETITION!. You can also send E-Mail and snail mail to USA, NBC, and Universial.
