The Mars Odyssey Home Page containing details of the space probe that NASA actually managed to get into orbit around the red (butterscotch?) planet. Since NASA have now completed aerobraking the probe into a circular orbit the science will shortly begin!
The Cassini Probe arrives at Saturn in 2004 at which point it becomes the first space probe to enter orbit around the gas giant. It will hopefully make up for the impending demise of Gallileo which is running perilously short of propellant and will therefore be crashed into Jupiter shortly. This is intended to avoid any chance of the spacecraft crashing into any of Jupiter's satellites, polluting them with any viable terrestrial bacteria still clinging to the probe!
