We have all your non sports enthusiasts needs here! Everything from 1960's 3 stooges, batman, the beatles, green hornet and rat patrol to comic cards. Take a look at our music and celebrities sections too. We put exhibit cards on those pages. They made them in the 30's through 60's of movie and tv stars, very collectible! You will also find many food issues throughout our regular pages. If you don't see it, ask us.
Do you know what I love most about collecting non sports stuff? It's like digging in a treasure chest. You never know what you are going to get. My best story on this is from 1994. I am reading The Wrapper and I order a bunch of stuff. The guy throws in a couple of Gatorade basketball sets for free. They weren't worth anything and it made his customer happy. I put the sets away for a few years, a long with all my other basketball stuff that was worth nothing, until one day I read about the in SCD. Two words, Michael Jordan! I sold both sets to a collector in 1998 for $1500, not a bad profit! I also bought tons of those Star basketball team sets for a few bucks each. I made a killing on those, especially the Chicago Bulls sets. I go to shows, flea markets, Kmarts, anywhere, and just buy some of the craziest stuff. YOU NEVER KNOW. I just put it away. Kmart had champions of golf boxed sets from 1997, which commemorated the last 50 Masters Champions, in their stores in 1999 for 9.99. No one wanted golf cards. Then they had a 20% off sale. I bought a ton of these unopened boxes for $7.99 because the had a lot of Arnold Palmer and Jack Nicholas cards. I figured I could triple my money selling these individually. Guess what else they had? You know the tall, black rookie card of Tiger Woods that everyone is so crazy about. THAT was in this set! Every box had a mint Tiger Woods rookie in it! $7.99! I "sacrificed" a few of these to my best customers last year for $300 each! PLUS, in all these situations, I got to keep some of these for my own personal collection.
