Weyland-Yutani Debriefing, The Incident, Appendix K - Scientific Records.
---
Holding time: five weeks, three days. The Predator remains strong with high antibody count and little fever. I am surprised at its resilience after our... tests. Based on the blood loss alone, it should be weak and sickly. Instead, sustained only by intravenous fluids, the creature's immune system resists all introduced strains. Still, our understanding of its physiology increases day by day. We have time now - to work without fear. Without weapons, the creature is weak - I should say without most of its weapons. Our surgeons are still reluctant to attempt removal of its forearm bands. Eisenberg was not pleased with the death of the last one - no need to repeat that so soon.
* Find a clan mate's Mask to replace your own.
* Escape the Pods.
You awaken in a new room after brief flashbacks of seeing an Alien in the control room and seeing a Marine, Harrison, walking about. You have been stripped of pretty much everything, including your mask (so you have no special vision modes), your cloaking device, your Medicomp, your Energy Sift, and pretty much all your weapons. All you have left is your Wristblades and your charge emitter. If you search this room you'll find a laptop device to read.
Date: December 10, 2230.
Surgery to remove forearm device has failed. Hard to explain. Medically, the specimen was very strong. Then, as the device was removed, pulmonary arrest occured. Considerable evidence of tamper-proofing within the machinery, but what kind of society would prefer its soldiers to die instead of being disarmed?
Head to the control panel in this room, open it, and use your charge emitter to short circuit it, causing the elevator to your left to open. Get into it and use the panel inside to ride the elevator to the top. Head towards the consoles in this area.
Man 1: I can't raise Morris.
Man 2: He's dead.
Man 1: God damn it! It's one friggin' contaminant, for God's sake!
Man 2: Yeah, and it's headed this way. Let's check in here.
The door will open and two Marines will come out. Kill them both quickly before they can attack you because remember, you can't heal. There is another laptop in here if you want to read it.
Implant Accident Investigation 542
Dr. Sharpe Presiding
On the morning of October 4th, Dr. Betheny Clements failed to properly initialize the safeguard override system. As a result, a single Stage 1 Xenomorph escaped into the general implantation area.
Dr. Clements reacted to the warning klaxon too slowly. She is currently in cold sleep - however we cannot fully arrest the Xenomorph lifecycle.
Her family has been notified.
Head through the opened door and use the panel to the right to open the next door. There is a Marine at the end of the hall. Kill him, then use the panel near here to open the door. Go down the ladder and use the panels to continue down this tunnel.
Man 1: Anything?
Man 2: Not yet.
Man 1: Just stay alert.
Man 2: Don't worry.
Drop down into the next room. There's a Marine here with his back to you, so kill him quickly. Head left and down the hall, and use the panel to open the door at the end. In this room there is a Marine with his back to you, and you can see Rykov and Ivan talking in the next room through the mirror.
Ivan: I've limited all communications with the rescue teams to our secured protocol. The Marines can talk only to those you wish.
Rykov: They accepted your explanation?
Ivan: They take orders like good soldiers.
Rykov: Then it is time. Contact the Verloc. Get a dropship down to the auxiliary landing pad. They'll need telemetry, but otherwise, say as little as possible.
Ivan: Understood.
Kill the Marine here. You can see a mask in the room through the window but nearby doors are locked. Look above the window and you'll see a ledge. Jump up there to another door, but it is also locked. Turn around and go to the left and jump onto the small ledge where the pipes are. Jump up onto the pipes and into the small niche behind there. There is a box near here. Use your Wristblades to open the panel, then use your charge emitted to short circuit it. Drop back down and you'll see the door to the right of the window will you open if you use the panel near it. Go through this door and kill the two Marines at the end of the hall. Use the panel to enter the room and kill the technician inside. Here you can grab the Remote Bombs. They are a good weapon, but not really helpful for killing individual enemies, so save them for now. There is also another laptop on the tray.

Research Log
I don't know how this race could have missed our SETI transmissions. They're so obviously advanced. Maybe they ignored them for a reason. Rykov thinks they're hunting us. God, I hope he is as paranoid as he seems. If these things want to kill us, all Rykov's soldiers won't be able to help us. That is certain.
To the left of the Weyland-Yutani logo there is a panel. Open it and use your charge emitter to short circuit the door to the left. Enter and kill the two Marines in this room, then open the door to the right by using the panel. Kill the woman technician in the next room and grab the mask and the Netgun here. You'll complete an objective when you get your mask back, plus you can use your special vision modes again. The Netgun is a good weapon for trapping Marines, but it has limited ammo, so again you may want to stick to your Wristblades unless you get into a tough situation. There is another laptop in this room as well.
Subject: Hunter's Mask
Notes: Extremely advanced. Compact refractive lens for adjustable field of focus. Real-time optical filtering and amplification. Directional microphone. Carvings on the helm match artifacts from the Zeta site.
Leave this room and go through the open door on the left. The door directly across from you is now open and there is a Marine there. You can use your Netgun to get him from a distance or just run up to him and risk getting shot at. Go up the ladder here, go through the circular tunnel, and drop down at the end to end this part of the level.

Perhaps I was wrong on Eisenberg. Perhaps the captured Predators can open the door to a final solution. After all, their physiology is not magical - they have hemoglobin - they require oxygen - they can die. One sickness, one contagion, one carrier.
If I kill this one, they will return. Perhaps, there are other options.
* Recover your clans' weapons.
* Find a Cloaking Field Generator.
* Escape the Pods.
Head towards the end of this vent.
Man 1: So if I turn these two valves, boom?
Man 2: That's right.
Man 1: I don't believe you.
Man 2: It's true. I'm going to make that shit up?
Man 1: Come on, who would design something that stupid?
Man 2: It's a jury-rigged system we salvaged from Pod 5. Turn one. Fine. Turn the other? Fine. You turn both? Blammo.
Man 1: Man.
Drop down and quickly kill the two Marines before they can hurt you much, then head forward towards the two switches the Marines were talking about. First pull the system charge switch, then the system purge switch, and back up to avoid the explosion that follows. Head through the hole created by the explosion into a room with two dead technicians. Continue along and use the panel to open the door. Quickly go to the right in this hall. Some Marines to the left will see you and follow you, so pull out your Netgun and get ready. When they come in through the door, catch them in the net and use your Wristblades to kill them. Then look around in this room, where you can grab your Combistaff and cloaker, completing an objective. You can also read the computer in this room.
Subject: Hunter Spear
Notes: Remarkable. Closer examination of the blade's edge reveals an unknown method of craftsmanship. A magnetically suspended monofilament was my first choice, but it looks like something more. Whatever it is, it can cut through steel.
You can use the Combistaff or Wristblades now, whichever you prefer, and it's a good idea to use your cloak from here on. Leave this room and head straight down the hall, use the panel on the right to open the door and kill the Marine in the next room. There is another computer you can read here.

Dear Paul,
Here's what I could find.
Looks like our General was a Marine at one point. I pulled some news net files on him. He was honorably discharged after a search-and-rescue mission went bad on Korari. Everyone else died. He suffered multiple fractures along the spinal cord. The pictures show him in a wheelchair and talks about his paralysis.
Something doesn't match though. He walks fine now. So why do you ask?
Best,
Scott
Open the door to the left and kill the three technicians in here. Some Marines will come at you from behind so take care of them before you head to the left. Go up the ladder and you'll see your equipment surrounded by a light. Grab your Medicomp, Energy Sift, and Plasmacaster. You will probably need to heal, so do that and recharge your energy as well. I would recommend using the Plasmacaster with the thermal vision mode now as it makes killing the Marines quite easy.
Head straight across to the control room and open the door to enter. Use the panel to open the door inside this room and head down the hall. Kill the two Marines and head to the end of the hall, where to the left there is a place where you can jump up into the crawlspace in the ceiling. Head to the right in here, use your Wristblades to break open the box here, and use your charge emitter to short circuit it and cause the doors below to open. Drop back down into the hall and kill the Marine and technicians that came out. Search the rooms, one of them contains your Speargun, which also completes an objective. Now go through the opened door at the end of this hall and drop down into the elevator shaft to complete this part of the level, with a cut scene between Rykov and Eisenberg.
Eisenberg: Your teams still aren't in position. I won't stand for insubordination, General Rykov. Or perhaps you didn't understand my orders?
Rykov: I understood.
Eisenberg: The news nets would be very interested in your dossier. Don't you think?
Rykov: Blackmail can buy my silence, but not the lives of my men. Now, if you'll excuse me, I have other matters to attend to.

Damn Eisenberg. I should have killed the creature when I could. Between him and the clumsy Marines, I am surrounded by fools.
No, that is not fair. I could have fought Eisenberg harder. I gambled that we could learn from the creature. Perhaps we can. With the creature's blood physiology, a good team could fashion a proper solution. I imagine something similar to Anthrax 9. Without the risk of human infection, we could make it much more contagious and long lasting. If we can just catch it again, I will even have a host to carry home the death of its people.
* Escape the Pods.
When the elevator you are on comes to a stop, jump off it, cloak, switch to your thermal vision mode, and drop down.
Man 1: Hurry up and get this APC refueled and rearmed!
Kill the two Marines and destroy the sentry gun in this area. As you near the door near the ladder, a synthetic will come out, so destroy it too. You need to BE CAREFUL near the edges! There are two synthetics down there with rocket launchers that will shoot at you, regardless if you are cloaked or not! Pull out your Speargun and carefully look over the edge. You can safely find a place where you can spot the heads of the synthetics. Go for head shots to take them out and make this level much safer. Heal and recharge your energy if you need to.
Cloak and head left. Near the boxes, you can drop down to the next level, which puts you behind a sentry gun. Destroy it and search around this area for two more sentry guns, which you can safely shoot and destroy from a distance using your Speargun. Drop down to the next level near the boxes and use your Speargun to destroy the two sentry guns before you kill the two Marines and the synthetic on this level. Now head to the far right side of this area, and look towards the APC. Use one of your Remote Bombs to blow up the APC, then drop down to the bottom level.
Radio (Pilot): This is Dropship One. What the hell is going on in there?
Radio (Rykov): Dropship One, annihilate the cargo hold.
Radio (Pilot): Please repeat, over.
Radio (Rykov): Destroy the cargo hold.
Radio (Pilot): But sir...
Radio (Rykov): Now!
You will have a new objective now, as the dropship pulls up in front of the hole you created in destroying the APC.
* The strength of the heart is to kill without fear. Hijack the Corporate Dropship. Some paths are more dangerous than others.
Jump over onto the dropship to end the level. Watch the cut scene as the dropship flies off and then crashes.
Pilot: What the hell is that?
Man: Something's on the roof!
Pilot: Holy shit!
Radio: Dropship One, pull up immediately. Dropship One, report, over.
The scene switches to Rykov, injecting himself with a needle to administer his medication. Dunya comes in.
Dunya: He's through the net. Out of the pods.
Rykov: Forgive me. It is weak, disgusting.
Rykov: Perhaps this is punishment. So many lives.
Dunya: It was my responsibility. I should have taken greater precautions with the egg.
Rykov: You were following orders.
