"Aren't you going to get that?" Shirley asked of the ringing phone.

"Yeah." Taylor said, reaching over to pick it up. They were sitting on his couch, watching a movie one night.

"Hello?"

"Taylor?" A voice purred.

"Hi." He said. "Who is this?"

"This is Jennifer." The voice said.

Taylor's cheeks flushed as Shirley turned to look at him. "Oh hi." He said. Such timing.

"Do you remember me?" She asked.

"Uh, yeah." He sqeaked as Shirley eyed him. How could he forget the woman who had walked up to him just a few weeks ago after a show and grabbed his cock?

"Well I was just thinking...since you gave me your number, we should get together." She said slyly.

"Uh..."

"How about Saturday?" She asked. "We could come over to my place, and I find something to do here."

"Um...Saturday...that isn't good...no...I've got plans on Saturday." He said, his cheeks growing hotter by the second. Shirley was now staring at him pointedly.

"You are? Well you're a busy man. How about Friday? I know a place-"

"Uh, you know what, I've got plans...for awhile." He choked out. Shirley was getting more and more pissed by the minute.

"What?" Taylor could barely hear the voice on the other end of the line.

"Bye." He sqeaked, slowly placing the phone on it's cradle. "I can explain." He said.

"Don't bother." She said, getting up. Taylor grabbed her arm, and she ripped it away.

"Shirley, wait-"

"Don't touch me!" She yelled, stepping away from him. "Dont' talk to me." She said.

She was so angry, Taylor was almost scared. They stood in silence for a few moments before Taylor spoke.

"Shirley, I'm sorry." He said. It was then that he saw her tears. "Shirley-"

"Taylor...I can't look at you right now." SHe said.

"I'm sorry." He repeated. "I never meant to hurt you."

Shirley looked up at him, her red hair wild and her eyes red. "You never meant to hurt me? Taylor, we're supposed to be together! You say you want to be serious and you give me all this shit about love, and then you go and do that. I can't believe you. And the thing that really makes me mad is the fact that she probabally isnt' the last." Shirley said. She inhaled sharply, then walked out of the TV room. She picked up her coat, and started to open the door when Taylor beat her there.

"Just let me explain." He said.

"What Taylor? What? I'm supposed to take you seriously when you hand out your number to dozens of women?" She demanded.

"I only gave her my number because I was lonely. We were just doing a couple of shows, and it was right after, and I hadnt' seen you or heard from you in weeks." He said.

He watched as tears started to pour down Shirley's cheeks.

"I'm sorry." He whispered. "I'm not going to do anything with her. I swear."

Shirley looked at him for a few moments before pushing past him and stepping out the door.
