"So are you still mad?" He asked, handing her clothes to her.
"No." She said, taking them from him. Their hands brushed slightly, and she blushed.
"Um, what time is it?" She asked.
He glanced at his watch. "Seven am." He said.
"Okay, I have a while." She said, slipping her vest over her head.
"I want to thank you again for last night." He said.
"No problem." She said, slipping on her socks.
"Why did you do it?" He asked after he watched her slip on her shoes.
She looked at him. "Because you were drunk and defenseless and you looked pathetic." She answered truthfully.
"Oh." He said, looking down.
"Yes." She said, walking over to a mirror to fix her hair.
"So what's your name?" He asked.
"Nadine." She said, looking at him in the mirror.
"That's pretty." He said, his eyes meeting hers.
"You're a flirt." She said.
"I know." He said, his brilliant eyes flashing again.
She sighed, then reached for the door.
"Wait!" He said.
She turned around. "What?" She asked.
"You said you had a few minutes." He said.
"Yes, and if I want to get paid today, I have to serve your breakfast."
"I said last night that I would pay you." He said.
She looked at him, surprised.
"You'll pay me?" She asked, almost in awe.
"Yes." He said, eyes meeting hers.
