"But only on one condition." He said.

"What is that?" She asked, her bills flashing through her head.

"You have to eat breakfast with me." He said.

She paused, then looked at him. He raised his eyebrows in question.

"Okay." She said, opening the door to go get it.

Once in the hall, she spotted Susan in the hallway, polishing the windows.

Susan looked up. "Where have you been? You're not due here for another forty five minutes." She said, looking at her watch.

"I know. I'll explain later." She said, running down the hall.

"What?"

"I have to go eat breakfast with Taylor Hanson." She said, and rushed to the kitchen.

Susan just watched after her with an open mouth.

Nadine rushed to the kitchen, and picked up the regular things for breakfast, a meal she didn't usually have. She passed Susan in the hall again, who was still giving her looks.

She rushed back to the room, where the excitement of the situation came rushing to her. She opened the door quietly, as though he might be gone when she returned. But no, he was sitting at the table, looking out the large window that over looked downtown Tulsa. He turned his head when he heard her enter, and smiled at her.

"Here is your breakfast." She said.

"Our breakfast." He corrected her, smiling flirtatiously.

"Why are you flirting with a hotel maid?" She asked, a blush creeping up in her cheeks.

"Because I've been sheltered from the real world since I was thirteen, and I got a hard dose of the real world last night. I've never seen such love for a complete stranger." He said sincerely.

"Oh." She managed to choke out.

He smiled coyly at her. "Won't you sit down?" He asked, pulling out a chair for her.

"Yeah." She said, sitting down as he pushed the chair in for her.

"Now." He said, sitting down himself. "Tell me about yourself." He said with a smile as he bit into a piece of bacon.
