"Zac, just give it to her. I'm going over there in a minute." Taylor said to his brother. It was Christmas eve, and Taylor was preparing to go to Morgan's house to give her her present.

"Tay, I dunno." Zac said, looking at the box.

"Why?"

"What if she laughs at me?" Zac asked, looking up.

"She won't. She's Katie." Taylor said. "Don't forget; just because you aren't together anymore doesn't mean she's still not Katie."

Zac bit his lip, then looked at the box again. He finally got up and handed it to Taylor.

"Give it to her. Go, before I change my mind." Zac said.

"Don't you want to go?" Taylor asked.

Zac shook his head. "No, that would be too risky."

"Oh."

"And too forward." Zac added.

"Okay...If you're sure..." Taylor said, pulling on his coat.

Zac nodded. "I'm sure. Just go." He said.

"Alright." Taylor said, walking down to the door.

Zac followed him. "Tell me everything she says."

Taylor laughed. "I will." He said.

"Tell her the circumstances." Zac said.

Taylor nodded. "I will." He said.

"I bought it before we broke up."

"I know."

"And I wanted her to have it."

"Dude, relax." Taylor said, opening the door. "She'll like it."

Zac looked at his brother closely. "Are you sure?"

Taylor nodded and took out his keys. "Trust me."

Taylor was putting on his coat an hour later after giving Morgan her present. It was then that he remembered the box in his coat pocket.

"Oh, come upstairs to Katie's room with me." He said quietly.

"Okay." Morgan said. "But be quiet, everyone is asleep."

"Kay." Taylor said, following her up to Katie's room. Morgan stopped outside the door and turned to Taylor.

"So he's really gonna give it to her?" She asked.

Taylor nodded. "It's been a debate all week." He said.

"Awwww...."

"One day he was convinced that he would come over here himself and give it to her."

"Oh."

"The next day, he was ready to just flush the thing." Taylor said with a laugh.

"Well it's really brave of him to do this."

"I know. He owes it all to me for making him do it." Taylor said.

"Yeah, but he should have done it himself."

"Well, I think this was a lot to ask, so we'll let them take it from here."

"You sure?" Morgan asked.

Taylor nodded. Morgan knocked on her door, and Katie was sitting in her chair, reading.

"Hey guys." Katie said, taking off her reading glasses.

"Hi." Morgan said.

"What's up?" Katie asked.

"Oh, Taylor has something for you." Morgan said, gesturing to Taylor.

"Oh?" Katie asked, frowning slightly. Taylor smiled. "Well...it's not from me...It's from Zac." He said.

"Oh." Katie said, her expression blank. Taylor pulled out the small box with a red bow and handed it to Katie. She unwrapped it and opened it. She pulled out the bracelet and smiled.

"Do you like it?" Taylor prodded.

"Yeah...I like it." She said thoughtfully, holding it up. "I didn't get him anything though." SHe said.

Tell her I got it before the breakup...before the brakeup...before the brakeup... Zac's words rang in Taylor's head. He smiled at Katie widely. "He just wanted to get you something."

Katie looked at it more. "This must have been expensive."

Taylor nodded and beamed at Morgan.

"WHy didn't he give it to me himself?" Katie asked.

Taylor shrugged. "He was embarassed."

Katie looked up at Taylor. "Tell him I say thank you. I love it." She said, snapping it on her wrist.

"Okay. I will." Taylor said. What she didn't know, wouldn't hurt her.

Taylor walked into the room he shared with Zac at eleven thirty, and Zac was asleep, sprawled on his bed. He awoke when Taylor shut the door.

"Ulgh." Zac said, rubbing his eyes. "What time is it?" He asked.

"Almost twelve." Taylor said, taking off his coat.

"Did you just get back?" Zac asked.

"Yup." Taylor said.

Zac sat up in bed, rubbing his eyes. "How did it go? Did she take it? W hat did she say?"

Taylor laughed. "It went great, She took it, and she really liked it. She says thank you."

Zac smiled. "Cool. Thanks Tay."

Taylor grinned to himself in the dark. "You're welcome."
