There, staring back at Katie was a face. She couldn't make out who it was, but it was a face. She saw them hold up a small light and then fumble with the wires ouside her window. A few minutes later, her window was slowly being slid open.

"Oh my god." She whispered.

"Uh huh." Isaac said quietly, snipping away the last of the wires around the alarm.

"How did you...?"

"I have friends." Isaac said.

"But Morgan...." She started.

"Taylor's getting her." Isaac whispered.

"Oh." Katie said.

"Come with me." He said.

"How?" she asked. She was on the second story, and he only had a rope ladder.

"You're small, get on my shoulders." he said.

"Where's Zac?" She whispered.

"Right here." Someone whispered. Katie leaned over the window and Isaac shone his flashlight on Zac. He smiled and squinted up at her.

"Oh my gosh." She said.

"Just go with Ike everything's going to be fine." Zac whispered. . He was right below Isaac on the ladder.

"Okay." She said uncertainly. She hadn't even changed her clothes in two days, and she was still in her pajama pants and a tank top as she climbed onto Isaac's shoulders. She gripped the window sill, knowing that one slip and she would fall down to the ground, far below.

A few agonizing seconds later, she was settled on his back, and he climbed down the shakey ladder slowly. He and Zac were both dressed in all black, complete with black hats she noticed. Once down, Isaac and Zac ran across the street to a white van, Katie still on his back. Once inside, Isaac set her down.

"Thank you so much." She said, giving Zac's older brother a hug.

"No problem." He said.

Katie turned to Zac. She threw her arms around him, and just like she dreamed, he held her tightly. She felt her eyes well up and overflow with tears for the millionth time that day. She cried into his shoulder, never wanting to move.

"It's okay." Zac said, patting her head. "You're alright now." He said.

"I gotta go help Tay and Dave with Morgan." Isaac said, opening the door. Zac nodded, and Ike climbed out.

They hugged for a few more minutes, then they pulled apart.

"Shhh...It's okay." he said, stroking her cheek.

"Zac..." She said, taking a deep breath and sniffing. "I was so afraid that you wouldn't....that you and I...I was afraid that you would give up." She said, breaking into a fresh set or tears.

"No no." He said. "I'm here, I didn't give up." He said. "Everything's gonna be fine." He said, wiping a tear from her cheek.

Suddenly the door to the van opened, and Taylor came in, holding Morgan. He laid her down gently on the seat in front of them. Morgan moaned, holding her head.

"She's okay, but we need to get her to a doctor as soon as posible." Taylor said.

"Katie, we need to know who has what room in your house." Isaac said, pulling out a sheet of paper. On it, they had drawn out the upper story of Katie's house, complete with rooms. They had hers and Morgan's labeled already.

"Um, ben's is beside mine, but he's gone." Katie said. "Then across the hall, there's Sandra and Madison and Judy and Kristen." She said.

"Okay."

"Then there's a hallway behind that, and the only two in there are Melisa and Krista." She said. "They're the last two rooms." She added.

"Okay, we'll be back." Isaac said. He and Taylor and another boy left, closing the door quietly.

Katie turned to Zac, and looked up at him. Sensing what she wanted, he leaned down to kiss her. They wrapped their arms around each other. Katie wondered if this felt as good to him as it did to her. The world seemed to immidiately stop, and as they kissed, she thought back to the past summer.

As the thoughts and memories of the last few months came flowing back to her in an emotional rush, Katie came to a realization; Accepting Zac was one of the best things she had ever done, even if he had been uninvited. That didn't matter now; all that did was that she was finally happy, and her life was changing for the better.
