Zac slammed the phone down again for the third time that day. He gave a frusterated sigh, then flopped down on a chair in the kitchen.

"I'm sorry, honey." Diana said to him. She gave him an apoligetic look from where she was standing.

"I just....I can't believe this happened." He said.

Diana walked over to her son. She embraced him in a hug. He held her tightly, searching for any comfort possible.

"I want to see her so much mom." He said.

"I know you do..."

"I just want to know if she's okay." He said.

"Of course you do, honey. I know she would tell you if she could."

Zac pulled away from his mother, and he felt his eyes well up. "Oh honey, it's ok." She said, wiping his eyes. She embraced her son, who was now a few inches taller than she was.

Zac sniffed, then wiped his eyes. He retreated to the privacy of his room and let his tears freely flow. He hadn't cried in a long time; but this time he wasn't ashamed to do so. He hadn't really realized how much Katie had meant to him until now. He couldn't stand to be without her. Everything was just beggining to be so perfect; then it had been ripped away from him so quickly.

He flopped on his bed and stared at the ceiling blankly. The stark white soon flowed into different colors and visions. He was so miserable he must have stayed that way for hours. He knew he had to do something, but he didn't know what.

Katie could be hurt or in pain somwhere, and it made him even more frusterated knowing that he couldn't help her. He punched his fist into his pillow as hard as he could. That didn't help. He felt like breaking something, or somebody. He hadn't been this angry since he had beat the crap out of Ian that night in the hallway. That led his thoughts back to Katie, which saddened him even more.

He lay back down on his bed and closed his eyes. He pictured Katie. Her pretty green eyes, and how they would look at him so wonderingly and full of joy. Her pictured her blonde, curly hair and how soft it was when he touched the shiny tendrils. He pictured her small hands, and how perfectly they entertwined and fit into his. He even missed the way she always smelled of green apple shampoo.

Zac knew that things would never be the same. He couldn't get to Katie, because he knew the entire house was rigged. How could he get to her?

Suddenly the door opened and Taylor and Isaac walked in. Zac could see that Taylor was still burried with worry.

"Hey Zac." He said.

"Hey." Zac said as Taylor flopped on his bed. Isaac looked at the two of them.

"You guys have got to do something." he said. "You're a mess."

"I know that." Taylor snapped.

"We can't." Zac said. "I've thought this out a million times, and I don't know what to do."

"Sorry Ike...I'm just at wit's end, you know?" Taylor said.

"That's okay." Isaac said, sitting next to taylor on the bed.

"I just can't help but not worry. What if she's hurt? Is she okay? What's going on in that house?" Taylor said. He ran his hands through his hair sighing.

"I feel the same way." Zac said, sitting up.

"I know." Taylor said. "I forget that you're going through the same thing." He said.

"Yeah." Zac said, punching the bed lightly.

"You and Katie were pretty close." Taylor said.

"Getting there, anyway." Zac said.

"I'm sorry little bro." Taylor said.

"Ah, that's okay. I just, never thought this would happen...things were going so well."

"Same here."

"I've got to do something."

"We've got to do something." Taylor corrected.

"But what?" Zac asked. His question went unanswered.

"It's just so hard to believe." Taylor said.

"I know, i mean, who would do that to people?" Zac said.

"Carole." Taylor said.

They didn't speak for a few moments. "Wouldn't you just give anything to see her?" Zac said, gazing off into space. he leaned against the wall.

"Yeah." Taylor said.

"I mean, I haven't seen katie in almost a month, and it's like I've been deprived of...air or something." Zac said.

"It's like an evil addiction."

"Love." Isaac said knowingly, nodding his head.

Zac and Taylor looked at him. They had forgotten he was even there.

"i want to help so much, but i know that house has got to be so rigged up..." Zac said.

"Yeah, and you're not Tom Cruise. If this were a mission, it would definitely be mission impossible." Taylor said.

Suddenly Zac got an idea, and it just might work. "Yes I can be Tom Cruise." He said, sitting up.

"What?" Taylor asked, looking over at Isaac.

"What are you talking about Zac?"

"I have an idea of how to get into the house."

"We couldn't possibly."

"Oh but we could." Zac said with an evil grin. This was now mission do-able.
