"Chris? Can I come in?" Taylor asked a few hours later, softly knocking on her door.

"Uh huh." He heard her croak. He opened the door, and Christina was laying in bed, curled in up a ball with her eyes half open. He walked over to the other side of the bed and laid down beside her.

"Hi." He said, brushing a whisp of hair off of her hot face.

"Hi." She said, wiping her nose with a kleenex.

"How are you feeling?" He asked.

"Better." She said.

"I'm glad." He said. "So how did you do today?"

"Okay." She said. "I slept a lot, and then I read a little, but mostly I slept." She said.

"That's good. You need to rest."

"So how was your day?"

"I sat through Spanish, and Chris invited us to a party tomorrow." He said, rubbing her cheek.

"Oh! I wanna go to a party! I haven't been to one in a long time..." She said.

"Well, we'll just wait to see how you feel, how's that?" He asked.

"Yeah, I guess so. But I've been sick since Monday, you'd think it would be almost over, right?" She asked.

"True. Just see how you feel tomorrow, then we'll talk." He said with a grin.

"Okay." She said. "Did you see Drew?"

"Yeah, we had a little thing in the kitchen."

"So I heard." Christina said.

"Yeah. I felt really bad."

"She said she thought you guys could be friends, and that you just started off wrong."

"Yeah, I agree." Taylor said, sitting up. "I am a little hard on her...it was just something that I didn't like about her..." Taylor said.

"I think so too, but I can't put my finger on it. Or maybe I'm just being cautious, but you never know. She's harmless, and she's been nothing but nice to me."

"Really?'

"Yeah, just a little nosy, but then again, that's her personality, I think." She said.

"Kinda like Zac?"

"Exactly." She said.

"I can see that." Taylor said. There was still something about her....

"I think you need your rest."

"But Drew-"

"There's gonna be alcohol. I know you hate that." She said quickly.

"I guess." Christina croaked.

"You'd better stay home."

"But what about Taylor?"

"He was already here. He told me to tell you that he had a study group tonight." Drew said nonchalantly, handing Christina a fresh kleenex.

"He was? I didn't hear him com in..."

"Well he was here, and he said that he wouldn't be back until late." Drew said.

"Oh."

"I'm gonna go on ahead to the party...maybe you could catch up later."

"But I kind of wanted to go."

"Oh Chris, it's so not your scene."

"Drew-"

"You just get your rest, I don't want to hear another word...." Drew said, closing Christina's door. She smiled to herself as she walked down the hall and into the TV room to the front door. Taylor was right where she wanted him, and his girlfriend was absolutely clueless. She had them both convinced that she was just some dippy little girl who had no control over herself. Well I do, she thought to herself. She wanted Taylor Hanson. And tonight, she would get him. And when she wanted something, she got it. That was a promise.

Taylor started to unlock the front door to Christina's apartment the same evening after work when Drew, came barreling out, slamming the door behind her.

"Taylor!" She exclaimed.

"Drew, hi." he said. "How's Chris?"

Drew's eyes widened, and Taylor frowned. "She's fine, er, sleeping!" Drew said, grabbing his arm.

"Well..."

"She told me about that party." Drew said.

"Yeah?"

"And she told me to tell you that she wanted you to go on without her."

"Oh....well, don't you think i should tell her that I'm home, I mean, she said that if she wasn't feeling better that she wouldn't go, but what if she's feeling better?" Taylor asked.

"Oh no, she's terrible." Drew said, leading Taylor towards the stairs.

"She is? Should I go check on her?" Taylor asked.

"No!" Drew said quickly. "She's sleeping. She finally got to sleep, she's been up all day and miserable." She said. "You wouldn't want to disturb her, right?"

"Well, no." Taylor admitted.

"She told me that you would give me a ride there." Drew said.

"Oh, okay." Taylor said. I guess it's the least I could do, he thought.

"We won't be late. Besides, she need the quiet."

"Yeah." Taylor said. He still wasn't too sure, but he didn't want to wake up Christina.

"She told us to go on ahead." Drew said again.

"I guess if she said so..."

"Oh she did." Drew said. "She did."
