They walked up the last few stairs, and stopped at the top. They had finished with their ice cream, and they were now at their doors, ready to say goodnight.

Michelle and David went around the corner to say their good-byes, and they left Taylor and Christina alone.

"Well, this had been a great evening, I really enjoyed spending it with you." He said. "I was happy to spend it with you as well." She said, smiling at her feet.

He reached over and lifted up her chin, so she was looking him in the eyes. They smiled at each other and he slowly learned down to sweetly kiss her. They broke apart smiling devilishly, as thought they had a secret no one else knew.

David and Michelle came out from around the corner, and they went their separate ways.

"Don't be too long, Chris." Michelle said, tugging on a piece of her hair.

"Okay, okay, already."

"Well, I'll be home tomorrow, if you want to do anything…I don't mean to sound too forward or anything, but-"

"No, I want to see you again tomorrow." She said, putting a finger on his lips. She traced them, then lifted up on her tiptoes and kissed him goodnight.

"Goodnight." She said, and smiled at him one last time before going into her apartment.

For awhile Taylor just stood in the hallway, before he jumped up and down and did a little dance, then went into David's apartment as well.

Meanwhile, in Michelle and Christina's apartment, it was nearly midnight, and they were just getting started.

"I can't believe it went that well. I just can't believe it." Christina yelled from her room, where she was hunting around for her pjs.

"Yeah?" Michelle asked from across the hall.

"Yeah." Christina answered, coming out of her room. She was dressed in an old T-shirt, her blue pj pants with glowing stars, and her slippers. She had removed her glasses, and put her hair up on top of her head. Michelle appeared wearing a tank top with her flannel pants, and her hair was also up a little. They went into the bathroom, and started to get ready for bed.

Christina lathered up her face, and was reaching for a washcloth, while Michelle reached for her night cream.

"So it went really well?" Michelle asked, rubbing it in under her eyes.

"Yes, god yes."

"Oh, it went really well, did it?"

"Yeah, I can't wait to see him again. I think I might tomorrow."

"Oh, it went THAT well?"

"Let's just say, he not only kissed me, he KISSED me. I can't believe me luck!"

"Neither can I!" Michelle said, reaching for their toothbrushes.

When they were done, they each went into their bedrooms, but emerged a few moments later.

"I'm not ready to go to sleep."

"Like I could sleep." They said at the same time. They laughed at each other, and went into the kitchen to see what they had.

"Hey, do you wanna make red river?" Christina asked, peeking in the freezer.

"We have all the stuff?"

"Yeah, I was at the store today, and I bought all the stuff for it."

"Even the cherries?"

"Yeah. They were on sale. Tons of them." Christina said.

"Hey, I fount a recipe for a facial mask in my magazine…you wanna try it?" Michelle asked.

"What they heck…it might be fun."

"Yeah, that's what I thought. And I think we have most of the stuff it needs to make it, so we're set."

"Okay. But let's make the red rivers first. I've been dying to have one for weeks!"

"Yeah, me too." Michelle quickly agreed.

"You know, we haven't made one of these things in a year, at least."

"Yeah, I know. Remember we used to make them in your kitchen because my mom always used to yell at us for making a mess in her kitchen?"

"Yeah, we used to make her want to scream!" Christina laughed.

"Actually, she did. Quite a few times, if I remember correctly."

"I think we gave her all of her gray hairs."

"I think we did too, but don't worry about it, she'll just dye them back!"

The two girls giggled as they made their famous red rivers, a drink they used to make when they were young, composed of strawberry ice cream, cherries, whip cream, strawberry syrup, and sprinkles. They overdid it on the sprinkles as usual.

"My god, we're going to have to run ten miles tomorrow to burn this off!" Michelle said, dipping her finger in the whip cream.

"Nah, we deserve a treat. We've been good food wise in college so far." Christina said, shrugging.

"Yeah, true. I swear, we've been living on carrots."

"Yeah, I'm getting pretty sick of them."

"But most of the time, they're the only thing we can afford!"

"True."

By then, their red rivers were finished, and they were ready to make the masks.

"Man, this stuff looks pretty sticky." Christina said as she rubbed the gooey substance on a cheek.

"Yeah, but it'll hopefully get rid of blackheads and dirt."

"Whatever you say." Christina said, as she got another swipe of it on her fingers.

One hour and three red rivers later, they had taken off the masks and were watching an old classic they had loved during their teen years, "Sleepless in Seattle"

"I'm so glad you bought this movie for me last Christmas." Christina sniffled, reaching for another Kleenex.'

"I know, so am I!" Michelle said as another tear rolled down her cheek.

It was nearly three am, and they were just finishing up their movie. They had a small TV and VCR, so they had been buying the five-dollar movies at their local pharmacy, just in case of one of these nights.

"I think we should go to bed." Michelle said.

"Yeah. Let's go jogging in the morning. I'm starting to feel pretty bad about having all of those red rivers." Christina said.

"Good idea. I feel pretty crappy too."

With that, they went into the bathroom and brushed their teeth again.

"Chris, can I sleep in your room tonight?" Michelle asked.

"Sure. I don't care.

Soon, it was nearly four, and the girls were still up talking. They were sitting on Christina's bed, and Michelle was sitting behind her, brushing her long hair. They were having a much needed girl talk.

"So, is he a good kisser?" Michelle asked.

"Like you wouldn't believe!" Christina said with a smile.

"He looks like he would be."

"Michelle!"

"What, I just thought he like he would be. Just wondering." Michelle said.

"I don't care. He is pretty cute." Christina said, smiling broadly.

"Yeah, but David isn't to bad either."

"Nah, but I'll take Taylor."

"Yeah. He'd look better with an earring, though."

"No! I like him just the was he is! He looks cool."

"No like, a cheesy diamond in both ears, just like, a ring, like in his cartilage." Michelle said, putting Christina's hair into a braid.

"Yeah, he might. I never thought of that."

"See? David had one. You should try and get Taylor to get one."

"Michelle, I'm not his wife! I just can't go tell him to get an earring."

"No, but you could suggest it."

"Nah. I like him just fine the way he is."

"You really like this guy, don't you?" Michelle said.

"Yeah, I really do. I just hope I can keep him."

"Aw, don't worry. You'll be just fine."

"You think so?" Christina asked, looking back at her.

"I know so."

"Alright, I guess."

"Yeah. Well, I'll try."

"Nah, if he's any kind of guy, you won't have to." Michelle said bluntly.

"Well, you would know, you're the expert."

"I know, I know."

"Well, think we should get some sleep before we end up looking like raccoons tomorrow?" Christina said.

"Oh! Definitely." Michelle said quickly.

Christina laughed at her friend's panic to get to sleep. When will she figure out that it's just a joke? Christina wondered.

"Hey Chris?"

"Yeah?"

"Skinny dipping. You. Taylor. Next weekend. Think you can handle it?" Michelle asked from her doorway.

"I don't know." Christian said, looking down at her hands.

"Oh."

"How do you think you're going to do it?" Christina said, looking up a Michelle. She was interested to get in on her 'brilliant' plan to get through this.

"Easy. Take off my clothes and jump in the lake." Michelle said bluntly.

"Oh." Christina said. She didn't think it was going to be nearly that easy.

"Don't worry Chris. It'll be dark. It's just for fun, anyway."

"Yeah, I guess so." She was still very unsure deep down, but she really wanted to get into a sorority.

"Don't worry. You can do it."

"I suppose." Christina said slowly.

"That's the spirit!" Michelle said, jumping up and down in the doorway.

Christina laughed.

"Now go to sleep!"
